I love the saucepan that he is using. You just know that after this, he went to go fry up some lard. You know, to celebrate.

What do you do if your child is Ann D?
You dress like you're the fucking MAN. And you don't give a rat's ass that people think your tie is too short.

I have no idea how rep works.
Extra embarrassment for the win: I've just been repping everyone that isn't a tool/douche/asswipe.

Anyone have any recommendations on a relatively inexpensive (<$150) pair of shoes that can withstand the rain? Or for any particularly good waterproofing stuff?

My heart breaks that the coat's gone.

Major props to Ahlvaroe for making do with what he's got.

Any pics of the peacoat being worn?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The dress shirts are a bit out of the ordinary.
Look 1: There are other people doing trenchcoats right now at pretty okay price points that are far more interesting than this. Mediocre fit and not a particularly great color either.
Look 2: I feel the suit cut isn't as flattering as other suits right now. The lines are a bit looser than I feel H&M's target audience is looking for. Shoes are nice, if plain. I'm wondering what that shirt looks like underneath.
Look 3: I do not understand this knit. Other people have done chunky knits better and in far more interesting ways. There are better alternatives, even at the price H&M will probably offer this. Again, the shirt does prove intriguing. It'd be nice to see more collar variety introduced into the masses.
Look 4: I don't know how I feel about a one-button, peak-lapel suit in navy. Especially if that the navy isn't really lustrous, and the photo makes me doubt that it is. Same shirt collar as 3, but in a monochrome.
Shoes 1: I'll be surprised if it's real suede. Perhaps just treated canvas? I don't know. The shape is nice, but some of the lines feel a little off.
Shoes 2: Is anyone else getting a slightly feminine vibe off of these? I don't know. The height of the boot and the construction seems to set off the heel. And in my book, men's shoes should not be emphasizing the heel.
Look 5: Those look like French cuffs. If so, I might be compelled. It looks like there's some animal-esque printing on the tie. Oy.

Anything under $200 would be great. I mean, if you could list a sampling of different boots at different price points, it would be awesome.
I've been thinking of stuff cut like a desert boot (jcrew), and that one's about $138.
But a more rugged boot (particularly one with lots of eyelets) would also be great. Thanks for the help!

Anyone got any recommendations for nice, rain-worthy brown leather boots? A full boot or Chukka-style would be cool. The rain's coming soon, so I need to figure this out quick.

I was lookin' for a new lighter jacket. Something semi-casual, I have a nice G-star, but it's 2 years old. Starting to get some wear on it. I went on Context, saw this.

Thoughts?
What is that? Brown with grey patches/hood? If you've got $260 to blow on a nice, all-around jacket that seems like a nice idea. Personally, I like the buttons and the pocket placement, but it's a little long for my tastes.

As an Asian, I'm usually really wary about the idea of an Asian guy with facial hair. But this dude totally proves me wrong.

Where in Cali are you? There are two Zara's here in downtown SF.
And sometimes, one Zara might have stuff that the other one doesn't (particularly in terms of sizes). It's like have 2.5 Zaras!

I mean, my Paper Denims are real soft. James fit. It's a nice pair of comfy jeans for when I'm not feelin' real hot and am like "BLARGLE! DO NOT WISH TO EXIT APARTMENT!"
That said, bought 'em, worn 'em, like 'em. If you've got $65 to blow, this isn't such a bad idea.
Bump for trying so hard, in the face of adversity.

you don't know how many people actually do try that and try to play it off like "wtf i didn't do shit!"
I worked at a certain department store with a very generous, "non-existent" return policy. Working in women's jeans meant I had to refund people things that they had bought years ago, worn, broken, and then come to us to file a complaint.
Annoying to say the least, ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING to say the most!!!!!

People who read line breaks in poetry like a period. If there's a period, then read it like a period. Otherwise, READ THE FUCK ON.

Aveda came out with a whole line of haircare for men, since guys' heads are different from gals' (oilier, thicker hair, etc., usw.) but currently it's only shampoos and shit. If they come out with a hair styling line, I'd give it a look.

I have a mid-term at 12:30 that I am probably not prepared for, but instead of sleeping, I'm surfing through sufu.
