  1. Born in Hong Kong, moved to America to SoCal Canto central. Spent time as a baby on my Grandpa's lap in gambling halls, around gambling and cigarette smoke. Probably explains why I love both gambling and cigarettes. I actually remember knowing Mahjong before knowing poker. Cards were weird as a kid.

Sam fun sein sik woo (Three points to wind a hand). Dou dou woo you sai fun (A hand of same-suit triplets and a same-suit pair made of two different suits is worth four points).

Math makes more sense when you use it to gamble.

I made the scarf after seeing one of the Dior Homme scarves. I added a button and a buttonloop to keep it wrapped around me even when it's windy.

I am not actually pregnant. That is actually impossible for me.

  3. There are a few big names when it comes to producing high quality men's dress shirts. You should ask yourself some questions when looking:

    1. How much am I willing to spend?

    2. What do I want to wear it with?

    3. How do I want them to fit?

    4. What cuffs do I want? Buttoned or French cuffs?

    5. What collar do I want?

With a good dress shirt, you want to make sure it's a good quality buy, because if you pick the right one, it'll last you forever and is easy to love. Just off the top of my head, a few great white dress shirts would be Band of Outsiders (who make TONS of great classic pieces), Ralph Lauren (which are available in various collections, including Purple and Black Label), Thomas Pink (whose stores are remarkably helpful in picking the right cut for your build), amongst others.

Also take into consideration the type of cloth you want. Broadcloth (which Thom Browne uses for Black Fleece) which is dense and has a smooth surface, poplin (which uses silk warp with a weft of worsted yarn), or just plain Oxford cloth.

The truth is that there is a lot of options and a lot of small details to pick up along the way. If you're really serious about getting a quality white dress shirt, take your time. One will certainly rise above the rest.

  4. A few essentials?

    -Trenchcoat

-Oxford shirt (Black Fleece by Thom Browne for Brooks Brothers or Band of Outsiders are GREAT options)

    -A good quality cashmere sweater

-A pair of black oxfords and a pair of brown wingtips should get you through most any shoe need

    -A pair of flat-front khakis

I assume that you're getting ready for the working world, no? In which case a good suit is also a great idea. Your two options are going to either be a custom tailored suit or buying a suit and having it taken in to fit your build.

  5. The most news that Tom Ford's fragrance is receiving concerns the racy ads, not the quality of the perfume. I can't recall even seeing one endorsement of the scent, just news clips about how some people find the ads offensive.

  6. Every season, I try to pick a piece that I definitely either want to buy directly or to find a good analogue for. I think that short-sleeved jacket just might do it for my Spring-Summer. Unless you guys can think of another good piece of light outerwear?
