  1. Does anyone know if the 888 has larger thighs than a 634...  I love my 634s but could use a bit less thigh and more rise.   .I’m always looking for longer rises but not a lifters cut. Thanks

Hoping the modifications mean they are slim and straight like the spikes but with a higher rise and avoid the lifters cut

^ & ^^ agreeing that those are strong pieces, the jeans will drape in time? (alway fond of saisen's monster bucket turn ups)

reminds me of what i love in this ol' pic shared on denimbro...

for the attached shape, wondering whether the jacket shortness not bigness is key... (or doing up all the buttons so more of a clenched waist silhouette...)

[making me wish i'd left more length in me 20s...]

Looks like yul Brenner in West world

  5. Slim fitting “modern style” denim with slightly higher rise(not relax taper)

Would appreciate any reccomendations.  My current collection is more of a 50s style with wider legs (Roy,IH 634 LF GREASER etc)mostly due to the fact that I usually ha e had an issue with the lower rise pairs I’ve tried (IH633).  So had to go more retro to get the rise.

Can anyone suggest a pair that is slim straight or with a slight taper that runs a bit higher in the rise than 11 at a 35 to 36 waist. Also looking for something with thighs closer to 12.5

For example my ideal pair would be a Railcar spike, neat, no adornments or arc, slimmer thighs, but the rise is too, low

    thanks in advance

Anyone have any detailed info on the front  rise for the RR1.  The indigo shrimp review puts a post soak rise on a 36 @ 12".  But the denimo site has it much shorter....

Anyone have info on this. Thanks

  7. These pics actually look very nice for us slimmer folk.   Looks drastically different pattern than the Hercules.

Is there an eta on the saddle?  I've been looking for a vintage style/detailing pair for awhile but in a slimmer cut.

As for sizing if you want to be at 36 does that mean you need the tagged 40?

How do you fit into something that is 2 inches less than your waist? Do you not do buttons up and they just stretch very easily and quickly?

    Agree.

    Is there that much stretch?

By far, Suvin is my favorite cotton for texture, feel and color (although I have yet to soak/wear the D1728). I have a pair of Suvin cotton UMII 908 Lee repro jeans from 2005 and the color and texture are wonderful. 45 RPM says the long staple cotton is a mix of Indian Sujata and Sea Island. The Ai Indigo blue is a deep rich color from the get go and ages beautifully and the feel really is cashmere/silky and improves with wear. Looking forward to Suvin cotton jeans from SDA. Here's hoping they use a reasonable cut with this beautiful cotton. The D1728 was, is and will be the last tight straight (or tight tapered or...) fit I buy no matter how exceptional the cotton. Thanks for the heads up.

Well said. I'm a little tired of seeing some exiting fabric offerings from various makers only to see they are only offered in little boy sizes with infant size rises

Can you at least give us a hint or say if we're getting "warmer" if we throw out a name on here?

Quotes about possibly obfuscation by certain mAkers without any identification or possibly source is not helpful

sorry to be harsh but if you are not willing to back up such statements or are "sworn to secrecy". Then don't post it

    Price will be $335

We'll have measurements once we have these in hand.

thanks...hopefully they are something like more sophisticated/lean rising sun blacksmith or a stevenson but with a real rise....

Formal shirt sleeves are measured from the centre of the shoulder so 35 sounds right for a tall guy.

Thanks.   So do you think a 25 measured by the jacket method is close to a 35 for dress shirts?

I can second the 3sixteen shadow selvedge. Although if you want longer sleeves, might not be best, but really depends on your measurements.

The deep indigo warp and black weft gives it best of both worlds

Thanks for the reply.  I'm a 35" sleeve in a dress shirt....think the XL would be close?

  15. Sorry if this has been requested before but don't seem to find anything with a search.   Can anyone recommend a slightly longer fitting type 2-3.  I'm over 6 foot and lanky .  Preferable double indigo or black but fit is more important...thanks
