^^ The lot 303 and 304 (and now 305?), the associated Type I and II jackets, and the Self Edge OKBSP collab. all use a new(ish) denim that's relatively heavyweight (16–17 oz.) and only 20% sugar millet, rather than the 50% used in their standard blends. Fabric seems neat. At least a couple of folks around here have picked up pairs, and they've been around long enough that we should be starting to see some examples soon of how wear treats them. I'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks for the info. Are they cut along the 47 lines or slimmer like the type 3 ?

Not sure if it's been posted here, but you can browse the entire paper catalogue here:

And the Mister Freedom starts here:

One thing I found interesting is that the jeans with the snake patch, on page 8, are not the only ones called Okinawa. The ones on p. 5 & 6 are also Okinawas.
The lot 303 and 304 look interesting ...wonder how they are different from the Okinawa and Hawaii's?

This may or may not be a good development. Particularly b/c I recently discovered the wonders of the 1108. it’s golden cut and rare these days as it has nIce rise but not too baggy. Let’s hope, they don’t go down the low rise skinny route.
Lets hope that FC has not jumped the shark

Hunting for a pair of Edo Ai in 34
I regret selling my pair so long ago

Got my 1901s RTW That Ryan switched out since his demo pair offered via IG were huge. Very nice construction and fit
only issue is the shin area is a bit wider than I like and leg opening is at least 9 on a 35. Larger than spec
This Below knee width makes them a bit out of proportion for the slim top block which I love
Im going to wear for a while and see if breakin makes them drape a little better before contemplating a very very small taper
The denim is beautiful however don’t know who makes these for WH but they are certainly in the top tier of manufacturing
fabric is sweet -smooth with a wonderful feel and weight
i think it’s 12.50 oz Nihon Menpu Left Hand Twill

Agree if the greaser has a slightly slimmer thigh it would be my perfect pair

What size dress shirt do you usually wear ?

Nice. I’m more and more pro washer and dryer as I get older. The denim does come alive as you say. For many different pairs.

Thanks mpukas. Yes these were the pair on IG.....always a bit of a guess with denim but even though the size of this pair is consistent with what Ryan told me, they are just plain big all over.....kinda of a pretty big fail....
id like to try and work something out with Ryan ...but he’s tough to get a hold of ...

Maynard/ecsong. Thanks so much for the candid reply. I think I’ll try and get ahold of Ryan on IG and see if he will consider an exchange — maybe a RTW 1901- he’s tough to get ahold of so who knows.....I may have to sell em....
Construction, fabric and denim are world class ....despite the fit

Also I should mention I'm selling my R1901s for a bargain price if anyone wants them - https://www.grailed.com/listings/5719803-W-H--Ranch-R1901-Ryder-Jeans
Aries. Hard to tell from your pic..is the waist closer to 18” ? Is there any stretch left in the waist? Thanks

Just took a flyer on a 1960 steer Ryder prototype Ryan just offered on IG. Fingers crossed on the cut and fit.....but was a good deal. I need another pair like a hole in the head and I just started working on a pair of FC 1108’s. but at least its a style I don’t have in the collection -not counting a well worn pair of standard wranglers which remain my most comfortable pair.
other thought being it may quash my desire for a pair of lee repros. I grew up on Lee’s because mom would not spring extra for Levi’s....

Alao thank you for posting info on your post washing 1108. I have been holding off on another wash for as long as I can since I don’t wear them much. My 35s fit perfectly and don’t want too much more shrinkage
love em so much I’ve been ignoring my wh ranch
