  1. ^ was pretty surprised when reading the PR statement, as it totally felt like an ACR rip - before even seeing the logo. Very convergent w/ Dominic Cummings' Blue Ant obsession...

  2. You're going to vary between sizes a bit. Unfortunately, at 5'8" you'll likely find many S pieces running long in the body and arm, and the XS stuff too slim in the upper torso. Going down to 150lbs will def. help float between the two. My AV wardrobe is pretty evenly split between XS/S, and I'm also an S in the current ACR fit blocks.

  3. For true inner-membrane delam., there is no remedy. Would be uncommon 'after only one wash' - but if you've been wearing the jacket heavily since new and this is the first time cleaning, then that's your answer. Most delamination is caused by sweat/oil.

Seam tape delam. can be fixed w/ appropriate adhesives.

  4. ^ nope, sorry - just the spec. sheet, which back then, only had hardline diagrams - no photos. Don't think I've ever seen a 'lookbook' of any sort from the first two years. Perhaps one of the old heads could chime in and clarify. My guess is whatever copy was produced was limited to line sheet / catalogue for the few retailers to order from? Proto-SubNet.

    Hey guys!

Could anyone identify the jacket? Thank you in advance!

FW04/05 E-NVA1 - oldest piece in my collection! Where'd you stumble across this?

I bought a pair of P17s on Yahoo JP and it came without the Nylon Webbing for the waist cinch, I should have paid more attention to the listing (fuuuh).  I don't think just threading a replacement through the waist will fix it, correct me if I'm wrong.  How to fix this shit?

Was that the black (Stotz) pair from the other week? Almost bid on that....surprised they went as high as they did!

  7. Interesting - I've never noticed the 'twist,' but am clearly seeing the alignment issue in your J22 photo. Probably a few variables; sleeve design, forearm circumference, how tight one makes the sleeve closure, etc-

Undo sleeve velcro > push sleeve up forearm > velcro hitch tab to sleeve > re-fasten sleeve velcro back over hitch tab.

Sleeve now stays in place on forearm.

    STICKY

  9. Shit, I might have to take that back - I'm def. thinking of the belt @Danwise just posted (3A-WB1). @junkie_dolphin was that sold during a different season? The Set's were all packaged, and you couldn't buy pieces separately (even if the items came in their own baggies (just like the Suspensor items!)). The pic from that Grailed listing clearly shows 3A-WB2 as being part of Set-2 and Set-3.

That belt was originally included in SET 3.

99% sure that this design predates SET 3, substantially. Like back to the first few retail collections. Probably some subtle update - but I'm almost positive there was an OD nylon belt w/ D-ring buckles (or something along those lines).

  11. P10 top block was definitely tightened up between earlier and later versions. This has been discussed (not sure if it resulted in a Gen. iteration on the official ACR product listing - and you'd probably have to dig to find original measurement listings), but IMO wasn't significant enough to 'size-up'. Eliminated the baggy seat, etc.

Haven't heard of sim. modification to the P24...but no other pant has been issued as many times as the P10, so-

Don’t trust 18Montrose. I bought from them first season they stocked Acronym. They charged me Tax. They said there was no way to fix it or refund me but they might change it for future seasons. Instead they just raised their price lol.

They suck. Has been discussed here before I think. Tried to do me the same...

I also don't think the fabric is any lighter than other GT Pro, the jacket itself is just lighter.

Current Pro fabric is much more breathable and qualitatively feels lighter. Different membrane type from the original Pro specification. This is not a super recent switch, but it was noteworthy enough that it was mentioned in product copy, back when.

*actually, I just looked back at the J69 page. They're still  calling it out as 'next-gen. technology'

I think it's asymmetric to accommodate an escape zip as well, whereas the J69 is completely centered.

J69 has the EscapeZip, and is def. not centered. More.

I doubt my case was an exception, but the collar down needed a bit of love out-the-box. Ironing nec. to get anything as clean as the product shots. Even where reinforced, the ends of the collar tend to curl in a pretty un-appealing way. Trade-off with the super lightweight Gore-Tex Pro, I suppose...

FWIW, I've just been in the habit of wearing the collar up.
