I've always had a thing for the Catlike lids - though I, too, usually roll around w/o (sorry mom!). There's no substitution for being aware (and knowing how to take a fall) + making yourself present to surrounding traffic.

I geek out over the weave every time I wear my Stealth shirt - love it. Fantastic cut for me too. Will say that the weld (glue?) failed on the bottom half of the chest pocket. Probably a simple fix; if I got around to it.

Would love a heavier-weave overshirt w/ those flak pockets.

Eh, most of the Western population is too obese / uncoordinated to jive w/ anything requiring balance, etc. Segways still seem to be relegated to mall cops and tourists on the boardwalk.

Remember kids, no replacement for displacement... Give me mechanical feedback and internal combustion over the electric stuff any day We're a lot further than 5 years out for large-scale roll-out of autonomous vehicles in most US metropolitan areas. Gonna take a lot longer for legislation and infrastructure to catch up with the tech (for better or worse).

^^ last two generally sum up my hesitation w/ recent Veilance pants. How I long for a re-release of the sturdier Stealth or Canvas Jean model... In the mean time I'm looking forward to spending the summer in the Outlier Longcrops. No concern about delicateness like I have w/ my Voronois. Haven't had any crotch blow-out yet, but the face fabric shows more patina than warranted (IMO). Not really a great look for something that is ostensibly a more 'formal' pant...

Cherokee (XJ)? Had an '89 that I built up through high school / college. Decent wheel base - plenty of room for overland travel gear. 4.0L was pretty bombproof. Stronger aftermarket (at least Stateside).

UPS charged a hair under $100 for a 3A-3TS-BLK and one of the little -E1-S'. If it goes with the same carrier, it'll probably be right around that-

Cycling = Oakley M-frames. Super light, lens swapping, good airflow. I don't wear them off the bike, but plenty do. My eyes are pretty shit, but they've got enough options that work for me w/o RX lenses. FWIW, I use the Red Iridium for most clear sky rides ('typ.' for flat/low light conditions).
