thanks paul, i only had a quick glance at their union machine but it really didn't look like a 43200G, at least from what google pulls up of it! it seems like theirs is a more modern machine, i'll swing by there tomorrow and get a closer look.. btw google on the 43200G came up with this neat vid:

ok that was actually my first assumption, but then today i saw a Carhartt work shirt with the union made label and a made in china tag which made me doubt that, although i guess they could also be made in china under union labour conditions..

what is the best way to get an authentic looking hem on my 66? chain stitch of course, but i seem to remember there's a rolling technique and thread color of course (anyone know the exact yellow too btw?).. i'm asking cuz my usual spot in paris is closed and so i swung by 45rpm who's got a vintage union in the basement, but they didn't seem to know much about levi's techniques...

i'm kinda new to the workshirt game and was wondering what exactly does "union made" stand for?? i'm guessing hand made on union sewing machines ??

speaking of those i snatched up the "one i love" 47's from this fall, i actually got them on sale price through mistake i think, anyways i really like them.. i always wanted a pair of 47's but was weary of getting sizing on point with rightful cause, these are some mean, lean hugging jeans! ;-)

haven't really worn them yet tbh, that super high-waist demands a pretty fit abdomen which i am currently working on (the last button especially!) but i'm confident i'll get there eventually so bare with me!!

Has anyone handled these? Are they easy to tell from the standard LVC models by sight?

i've seen them in person and i did not find them at all appealing... they have these silly wrinkles all over, and i guess that resin gives them an off-putting brownish tint which you can clearly see in the meadow link above (look at the detail cuff shot) so yea i'd say they are very easy to tell apart from standard us raw irl, but beware because some sites indeed make it tricky to tell...

interesting they're reviving 60's sta-prest (or had lvc done that before??)

not sure about the back pockets on them though..

the rest for this season so far seems...uninspired...
