  1. @HGS some decent train tracks!
  2. I'm aiming for a late 30s pair to be released by Denime/Warehouse. 😔
  3. they have a fairly high rise which I was aiming for. If I had known how much the denim stretches I would have sized down one size for the have quite a "hip flare" due to ratio of waist and seat and my lack of buttocks... I got a pair of ww2 too that funnily stretches hardly at all
  4. got these oiled suede Alden for Ed Meier boots at a third of the original retail, the most beautiful boots I own now they come up with true balance last but feature real leather soles instead the indy cork rubber soles
  5. the banner denim is definitely lighter than the tcb denim some photos for comparison
  6. @the 1890s: how do all of you guys manage to not scratch your precious mid century furniture with those bare rivets!?
  7. great to see another pair popping up! the denim twist of mine causes the back center seam on the top block being off set - yours too?
  8. you are very welcome and many thanks! when you click on the pictures, they become much sharper. i don't know why, but the embedded ones are quite blurred. felt the same way too btw., since late 30s don't seem very popular and hard to find even more so worn in pairs...
  9. thanks @rbeck! from 4 washes I only washed em once inside out. I think they of washing them the oldschool way not only causes marbling but also wears out the higher parts of an slubbier denim.
  10. evo update on the 1937ish: 5 month of almost everyday wear, 4 washes, no further significant shrinking... they come with red tab btw but its quite short, therefore almost invisible at least in the photos overall I am quite happy with em an consider buying another pair
  11. I know, this is not about politics, but congrats to the British fellows! May Labour make you buy more Denim and get your asses back into the EU...
  12. ...the same thing happened to my banner denim warehouses, the "inverted" creases (washed right side out) stood darker than the rest of the denim and are in the center of each leg and quite even, almost appearing pressed.
  13. @Jared_Lee epic pair! are these the 13 or 15oz version and did you wash em inside out?
  14. but they made a plant based 501 in 2023 which had 100% cotton thread though, of course I bought em 🤫
  15. but now for real the newest of the "oldest" : https://sourcingjournal.com/denim/denim-brands/levis-vintage-clothing-reproduces-oldest-archival-jean-9rivet-cone-denim-smithsonian-511119/
  16. the 30's Jean C which is the 1937ish version of TCB W31, worn around two month constantly with a 40 degree celsius wash in between though no signifikant shrinking since the came preswashed as most TCbs
  17. nice pair, these remind me of the trainers Tom York of Radiohead used to wear back in the mid 90s, guess they were Skechers...
  18. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts! I actually I didn't know the brand until DC4 in Berlin had these in store, and as a lover of high waisted, wide straight legs jeans, which are still hard to find and often at a prices I wouldn't pay, thinking of Fullcount, Dawson or At Last & Co, I was happy to find Oni. Their other cuts are not my thing either.
  19. Since I got my third pair of Oni's today, all three of them wide legged (12oz 202, 20oz 200zr, 15oz 222), I wonder why they aren't more popular here, for the denim is quite nice, they offer a lot of different cuts and the prices are reasonable... I couldn't even find an Oni thread.
  20. Thats a bummer, especially when shops tell you those don't shrink any further for they are pre washed...
  21. while digging in my Ikea Denim boxes I was happy to find accidentally (thought I had sold 'em years ago) the aformentioned "1st Comfort" hemp mix version in pristine condition, so to complete the foto of my collection:
  22. well I think these fit perfect, also lengthwise... especially since the 224 are the 1966 repros, back than in the 60s shorter inseams were common and looked more neatly or preppier.
