  1. confession: i go crazy for hipster girls in skinny jeans and vans. i should know better than to dig these stupid urban outfitters whores but it's just so irrestible. i made love to a girl with raw skinny jeans that stacked oh so lovely on a pair of slip-ons.

I think it's because, more than any other "type" of girl, I've noticed hipster chicks are always either incredibly hot and fuckable, or ditch-pig ugly. Never do you find a so-so one, at least around here.

  2. I was going to say the same thing about places like Holt's. I am sure there are places like this at many US dept stores. Only problem is then, you are spending a tonne on clothes.

Get personal shopper advice + get measurements + supermarket = win?

  3. What everyone else has said. Look around here, go to waywt and save images you really like. If they've posted what each piece is, great, if not, just ask.

Also, if you're in Canada and near a Holts, I know they have personal shoppers who do a simple questionnaire and then will go hunt down pieces that suit you. Have no idea how good it may be... but it is free.

  4. Hi: Sleeping in

Lo: Realizing that by doing so, missed a class. Again.

Hi: Getting a lot of good responses from the g/f's family members for buying her a Tiffany necklace.

    Lo: My bank account, post-necklace.

Hi: Free dinner tonight due to g/f's birthday.

Hi: Probably hanging out/getting drunk with old friend afterwards.

    So overall, today's good.

  5. Damnit, I forgot how much that place hurts my head.

While they're definitely the nicest Diesels I've seen, that's not too surprising, since they don't look like Diesels. They just look like an attempt at sufu-popular denim, actually. And for that price-point you could either go one way on the scale and grab a pair of Diors, or the other way and get a nice pair of repros. These just look... boring.

  6. Actually, we do have someone here who does wholesale to Canada. Chim started doing it a few months ago, but you have to have a minimum order of $125 (before the $25 shipping flat rate). He's actually off-duty for a bit now though, something about AA causing a bit of problems with orders. I'd assume he'll be back into it afterwards though.

  7. I swear someone on here has used a pair of brass knuckles for a backpocket fade. Do that, serious badass, heh.

The NC's are finally starting to show some decent fade down in the stacks, but a lot more in the crotchal area. It worries me a bit that they might blow out before I get as much wear as I like, but we'll see Had them for 3 months now, but I'd say they've probably only been worn just over half that time. The Diors are worn less than them, but more so than the Julian Red's or the Philippa K's. They also haven't stretched out as much as the Diors, which I thought was kinda odd. Anywhore, I'll try to get a bit of an update done this weekend.

All looking good lately, and I'm really starting to feel the fit Ken, wish I could pull something like that off as well.

  8. While I don't have a pair, I'll agree with fallen angels about APC NS'. They aren't too extreme in the taper and provide good quality, cut, and pretty decent fading if worn regularly. I ended up with New Cures, but only because I prefered the cut. Also, from my time lurking/posting here, I've noticed a lot less people have problems with crotch blow-out in APC's as opposed to say, Nudies.

Have no experience with Uniqlo stuff (until they wise up and come north), but it sounds like their denim would be a good idea if possible.

  9. We're looking at this week sometime. I hope.

Excellent, I'm glad I've been holding off on replacing my standby f/w jacket.

I know Revolve carries their older stuff online, so I'd assume at least part of the new collection will be available there soon enough, for those who won't have them nearby.

  10. I wear jeans on a regular (almost daily) basis, so they tend to wear out in a year or two. Because of this, I'm not going to bother paying hundreds for designer jeans when I can get a decent pair for $60 at my local Bluenotes.

I bought that shit for myself when I got my first job in high school. Denim was crap (dur), but they're the first jeans I a) bought myself and B) wore the shit out of. So I still have that one pair... but damnit man, if you're going to buy cheap denim, yes, please go to H&M instead. Or, you know, save up for something decent.

List of the denim in a rough list of most-worn to least:

    • APC New Cures
    • Dior MIJ 19cm Raw Blacks Silver Selvedge
    • Julian Red Hoboken Dark Dancers
    • Filippa K White Denim
    • H&M &Now Dry
    • Levi's 514

  11. Hmmm, let's see...

DH Dauphins - I don't have a pair of gray jeans.

TFH3001 - Probably my next indigos, though that's a long time coming with how the APC's are wearing.

A77 Colordrive Grays - Uh... so I have options.

DH Waxed Black - Dunno how often I'd wear them, they just interest me.

  12. Damnit, I think they got rid of Oero-O's up here. Those were awesome, and I know about 10 years ago I was on a Waffle Crisp binge. And before that, Rice Krispie Treats cereal.

Nowadays, if I'm having cereal, it's either Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Nesquik (bonus chocolate milk), Frosted Flakes, or some plain Krispies with a good helping of sugar added in.
