Anybody make it to that Edge secret show? We really want to snag some tickets for the QOTSA thing but the line at the Bovine was huge by the time we got there on tuesday. Apparently there will be a couple more events before the actual gig, I'm just trying to understand how the whole thing works. And if, of course, people nab 4 tickets, I'd be willing to pay them a reasonable amount for the effort, heh.

Weird, I've been with two red heads and while one was near-odorless, the other one definitely wasn't offensive or anything. And them being crazier in bed... 50%. So the mystery continues!

Actually, I had to use all my willpower not to grab up a pair of gray Diors at Bloor for 250. And they have more than just the super-large sizes (but no, nothing smaller than 28). I don't know the entire lineup, but are there blue denim pairs that are dyed black? Because that's what I saw and they were also 250. I think I'll be heading back this week to see what's left, but there was very little on Wednesday, and the lady went today and said it was a zoo. But for the discounts on the Diors... it's probably worth going.

September would be good for me because then I'm back at school and not working full-time every second weekend, but on the other hand... I thought we were aiming for a "summer" thing?

Unrelated; anybody check out the Holt sale this week? Some really good deals if you can manage to find your size. Got a nice light Modern Amusement jacket for $21 ($40-something without my old gift card) and three weeks ago snagged a pair of Filippa K jeans for $120. Even got some early birthday gifts for the girlfriend.

So, back from vacation and there's a package waiting for me. My MIJ raw black silver selvages are in (30's), and... they're tight. Tighter than my new cures were when new (also 30's). I was a bit worried at first because I didn't think they would make it fully done-up, but a bit of wriggling had the clasp secure. They're really tight around the upper leg but without really looking that way (odd, I know), so I'm going to give them a week to see how they stretch out. They are being worn kinda high for the time being, but I'll let them move down with time.

I'm assuming there's not as much info on these as opposed to the regular raws, but if these stretch half as much as people are saying the regulars do, I'll be happy .

Not including school, all I owe is about a paycheque's worth to Visa after my vacation. With school, about 6k.

ugh, I have to deal with tons of those little fuckers at my summer job. They always get especially bad right around dawn/dusk, so I try to avoid even going outside during then (and it's a mostly outdoor job, so as far as I'm concerned I'm off work during those times).

I hate people who congregate around the ends of escalators to figure out where they're heading next. Annoying at the beginning of it, doubly annoying at the end.

I hate people who bring strollers (and therefore fuck trophies) into clothing stores that aren't for kids. There'll usually be other, slightly more-older ones who will run around, knock things off racks (or hide in between them). That and the damned strollers block paths, which they refuse to acknowledge.

I hate how it was impossible to find some slimmish, non-cargo black shorts anywhere in Toronto today.

I saw a guy last Friday in Holt asking for "the new Nudies", while wearing some. Actually have noticed a fair amount of Nudies lately in Toronto. Probably APC's too, but they're kinda hard to judge if I can't see the whole pocket.

Do what jmatsu said, get both. There's a little bit of a difference I've noticed with mine. My Vans (black with white soles with some blue detailing) have had two years of beating and while they're near-death (worn almost completely through the heel), they still are comfy as hell and still feel like they would live longer. Con slip-ons (black pinstripe) are a lot newer, but for whatever reason I don't think they'll wear as long. They also have a different shape if they're both the same size; the Cons seem a bit more feminine to my eyes.

Sidney, I just want to say that you single-handedly have sold me on the fact that my next pair of indigo raw denim will be some 3001's. Amazing pair you've got there, man.

(I just have to keep telling myself to hold off for a few months, I have enough pairs to work in!)
