  1. iirc, superstar and indigo_junkie posted some fit pics...

btw, anyone know when XX-008 is gonna be out?

I have fit pics on page 12, post 224.

    http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showpost.php?p=517241&postcount=224

No real change in wear, but the waist, thigh and seat have loosened a little (not too much). Only wore it about 15-20 times, so no signs of wear apart from just off the edges of the seam folds (and I don't have a camera with good macro yet, so no point in taking pics now). Anyway, they're off deck. Giving my S710s some love atm.

  2. I hope this question has not been answered a thousand times before, but are denime jeans sanforised?

This is my first post on this nice forum, hello everybody.

I'm amazed that this is this person's first post, and he asks a quuestion about Denime! No questions about Nudie/APC/Levi STF etc... which is generally what most people go for, for their first raws. Might not be his first raws though...

a few months ago i made the mistake of washing a pair of nudie slim jim's in hot water. needless to say they shrunk. i was wondering if it's possible to stretch them back out?

I thought, at most, Nudie's only shrank 5% (similar to Blue Bloods). My RRDS has been warm washed twice, and the shrinking couldn't have been more than 2%. That being said, there are ways to stretch the jean out once it's shrunk (but not too much). There was a post around here about a way someone jerry-rigged safety pins and bags full of soda cans to stretch the inseam. And of course, there's the waist stretcher. :)

  3. These jeans are going to be like a kinder's suprise for me. I have no idea what the fit is going to be like. 4 inches larger in the waist than tagged when raw. These jeans have a date with a hot soak when they get here. Is someone (web knowledgeable) going to set up a countdown for these? I mean if we can get a countdown to Hayden (can't spell her last name to save my life)'s birthday, we should have a countdown for this.:)

  4. writing Chuck Norris lines is harder than it looks.

    Tell me about it. :D

Hidehiko Yamane's inspiration for the gulls was due to Chuck Norris. Because that's all he could see in front of him when he got roundhouse kicked to the head (after which, he was in a coma for the last 27 years. Which is why the Evisu brand is diluted by their "EU line.") But don't worry, he'll be back to bring Evisu back to the pinnacle of denimation. Because anyone who gets kicked by Chuck Norris and lives must be some kind of superman.

The "original" president of Samurai wanted to name their brand Chuck Norris, but Chuck Norris didn't think 21oz denim was tough enough. So he did a roundhouse kick to the poor fellow's head. You did notice, I said, "original president."

Chuck Norris's wears jeans, because blood doesn't come off pressed cotton very easily.

The reason why they haven't released a new pair of Chuck Norris jeans in ages is that no one has perfected a way of weaving Kevlar into denim.

When they asked Chuck Norris if he had a zipper or button fly, he didn't know. Because every time he needed to take off his pants, there'd be a hot woman nearby to do it for him.

No one's been close enough to see the wear on Chuck Norris's jeans, because if you get into roundhouse kicking range, you're a dead man.

Notice the inconsistent wear on Chuck Norris's jeans? How the shin of his right leg is more worn than the left? That's what happens when denim meets skull.

And... I'm tapped out again. :D lol.

  5. S710. I own both. Hunt around the New Samurai model thread and the Imperial thread (some way back for that one), because I have fit pics of both floating around sufu. It's similar, not exactly the same, but the denim is just better imo (no offence to the Imperal, guys. just imo).

  6. Yeah, lucky you, beatle. It's winter in Aus, atm. Not exactly a white winter wonderland like you have up in Germany, but as a warm weather person, I'm not exactly enjoying myself. Sun's out at least. :)

  7. Based loosely on the RRDS. Thus proving that someone did actually go out and make a RRDS repro with some killer denim (I think I'm several hundred posts behind and in the wrong thread to make this point - but the reasoning is still valid_):)

  8. Very nice collection. Why didn't you pick up the SEx01BK instead so that you'd have a black(ish) jean in your collection?

    Only 25 pairs. :(

By the time they dropped for phone orders, there was only the smaller sizes left. And I'm not exactly a 30 waist, you know.

I still want an overdye, though. Going to wait it out, see if Iron Heart ever re-releases the 634S-B.

(It's going to definitely be an overdye. I just don't like black jeans. Imperial Duke Black, S5000BK, PBJ XX-005BK. They just don't appeal. )

  9. Had to get some of them before I missed out. sexiho, 007, 868 etc... all limited editions. Others I picked up on sale because it'd be a crime to let them go at that price. I mostly collect anyway. Do you think Kiya's worried about putting a fade on all of his 400+ jeans?:)

  10. Chuck Norris has only two speeds. Walk and Kill

Guns don't kill people. Chuck Norris kills people.

The no.1 killer in America is not heart disease. It's Chuck Norris.

When Chuck Norris points his finger at you, that's exacly how many seconds you have left to live.

What has this got to do with denim? Absolutely nothing. :D

  11. Yeah and they fade fast because Chuck Norris never sleeps he's always on alert....

They fade fast because Chuck Norris has extremely hairy legs.

They fade fast because Chuck Norris gets blood on them a lot, and the iron in blood degrades indigo faster.

They fade fast because Chuck Norris sweats Eau de Toilette. That's how he smells so... interesting. :D (shit, I've got nothing... damn it!_)

Top (from left to right): Blue Blood Dry Goods, Nobody Selvage, Levi STF, RRDS, Earnest Sewn McQueen, Ande Whall Cougar, Imperial Duke.

    Bottom (L to R): SExIH01, KMW 1980, PBJ XX-007, Eternal 868, SC41955, SC40200, Samurai S710XX.

Range between 32 - 36, but most of them are 33-34.

And yes, I do not own a pair of black jeans (though I've said it in the past, this may change...;) )

  13. Works for me because my legs are larger than normal. So most jeans I buy to thigh size end up being too big in the waist (helloooo Dubbleworks 660). Buying to thigh size with jeans that have a small waist is easily fixed. Just buy to your thigh size and stretch the waist out with a bakertowne stretcher. QED. Of cousre, there aren't any thigh stretchers on the market, unfortunately. :(
