  1. Nudie Bootcut Barry in Revival Dry - size 31 waist x 32 inseam.

BRAND NEW, all tags still attached...

Bought these about 3 or 4 weeks ago from Context @ $185 US (plus $20 shipping). Received them about a week ago and they fit smaller than I anticipated, more like my Bootcut Ola size 30. Tried on once. I have decided to get a pair of Bootcut Barrys from a local store in size 32 (I don't want to wait for an exchange).

    See www.contextclothing.com for sizing details.

My loss if your gain! This color is fantastic, nice light indigo color.

Asking $160 US including shipping within North America! Add $20 US for shipping overseas.

  6. My assumptions were wrong, I jumped to conclusions, and I'm glad they were refuted.

That is the kind of stuff people need to know about your jeans, thanks for steppin' up. This dispells myths floating around in IA's hometown up north.

But holy shit, shame on me for questioning it. Call me arrogant, call me uneducated.

I think that since Steve is willing to share, then opening up a dialogue is beneficial. Albeit, my dialogue began as a confrontation...

    I'm glad Steve shot back.

I'd like to know more about this Army of Love, and see justification as to how this isn't just a form of conspicuous consumption. It compares to Nudie's amnesty t-shirt...which I love the idea of, but the flip side is Oprah's/Gap's Red campaign which just promotes frivolous consumerism.

  7. well "tion4->" you did say to correct you if you were wrong....and you are a very wrong and misled Iron Army commenter.

so i will set the record straight:

Firstly, our jeans are not blanks that have been sewn over. if you have ever looked at a pair of real Iron Army''s you will realize that while you see the sewn wrong stitching on the top of the jean, but you don't see it on the inside of the seams....figure out how we did that and you get a prize.

Secondly, im not sure why we would buy blanks when Iron Army owns a denim factory in LA.

Consider myself corrected, my apologies... I'm glad to hear that you own a denim factory.

Was I also wrong that you began the company by ordering blanks?

also, if you are looking for the "allure" of japanese denim, then go buy some japanese denim, we have never claimed to be a japanese denim company, nor do we care to be, we are something completely different than what the rest of the industry has to offer.

This comment had nothing to do with Iron Army, but rather a comment on another user who thought IA was "simple" in construction. I don't think that IA has any similarities to Japanese denim at all.

How is IA offering something different?

hope this helps as you continue to make your assumptions, about things you are uneducated about.

I am wondering what kind of denim you use and where it's been made...

  8. you could just sew your own jeans then if you dont like them.

or just get your own blanks and make them how you want them.

also! it is spring now so you can just wear an old pair of capri's or bermuda shorts.

i think sometimes i look at things like Iron Army jeans or "simple made" T-shirts and think "shiiit. any one could make those sooo easily." but does anyone ever do that? ?? i dont know. so maybe you should buy your own blanks and put "random stitching" all over them. it might not cost half as much as the ginormius IA price.

riiight...simplicity is great, that's part of the allure of japanese denim. Iron Army is not based on simplicity, is highly branded, and doesn't seem to have much consideration for quality...

  9. NOT a fan of Iron Army...

This is not premium denim, nor does it sound like the steves have any detailed information about their "around 12oz" material.

This company began by ordering 'blanks' made in a factory for dirt cheap, then distress the shit outta them, and sell them for $200. There's nothing saying this isn't still what they do, except instead of distressing them they just run over them with random stitching.

Correct me if I'm totally out of line...

  10. Just bought a pair of new standards...I really sized down.

I am normally a 31 (PBJ, SlimJim), but I bought a 28. I'm scared I won't even be able to get in these to start stretchin!
