lunch at home but outdoors for a change:

roasted chicken wings with potato wedges,grilled mushrooms, lotus salad and luminous dragon fruit.

dinner at a restaurant we've not been to for a long time:

mango salad, phat thai, crispy chicken with mayo and lemon sauce, special thai "homemade" sausage.

jumbo rice dumpling - glutinous rice with chunks of roast duck and roast pork, chinese sausages, chestnuts, gingko nuts, salted egg yolk and dried shrimp; wrapped and steamed in bamboo leaves.

an aromatic dish, with a strong piece of chinese history.
