  1. Wow...both the Two Moon and Loopwheeler look vicious!

Out of all of the aforementioned true vintage styles, I've only seen the NDG crewneck and hoody, and I would have to say those are very HIGH QUALITY. Everything about it says heavyweight and tough...plus it has that vintage styling to it. THe fit is also less boxy/baggy than a CHampion...I definitely recommend the NDG crews and hoodies. Sometimes you can even find 'em on the sales rack in the basement of the store for at least 40% off the price tag...

  2. worked well.. thanks for the help! i soaked in warm water for 3.5 hours, and then after spinning in the machine i wore them for a couple of hours (with tracksuit bottoms over the top!) while they dried..

i know if i was a proper baller these would be bottles of cristal, but this was all i had to hand :)

lost about an inch and a half in length, and the waist is about the same.. perfect!

Yes another sagger, non-skinny fit SuFu'er' surfaces haha... we must unite against those who enjoy a good ball-crunching!!

Nah but really, congrats on the success with your sectioned shrinkage and the fit looks tough from the pics...kill em out there.

  3. WTF????? Are those Apache helicopters pulling those jeans apart? That patch is insane!! Why buy a pair of levis that two horses can't pull apart when you can buy a pair of FOBs that will stand up to two Apache helicopters? Shit Iraqis need them jeans... pronto!

LMFAO!!!! I just needed to quote this since I was thinkin' the same thing. That shit is hilarious...Horses, Pigs, Trucks...AH-64 APACHE GUNSHIPS... fuckin' amazing.

  4. Can you really call them "arcuates" since they bear little or no resemblance to the levis ones? Can the word Arcuate be used for any back pocket stitching design?

I still stand by my opinion that the stitching on the back pocket is a pretty small detail and agree with the poster who stated that you can always just remove it...

True...I was used to referring to the original Levi'ish stitching on the Iron Hearts (as arcuates)...but yea...I said it in the both Iron Heart threads...if there was any back pocket stitching, I'd simply have them removed. But if the jeans came "bare assed"...things would be so much simpler heh.

  5. I'll be the next to say "get rid of the arcuates..."

The little W can stay...but as I said before...the denim is sexy enough to leave bare...you don't need anything extra like a wavey-crooning back-pocket stitch design.

  6. I've got those too...got 'em on a deal from Bloomies actually lol.

THey are sick...haven't actually put any wear to 'em though...but all I can offer is that they are a bit slimmer than APC Rescues...I got 'em in a 34-36 (I'm a 32 to 33 in Rescues)...and in 34, they fit kinda like the 32 Rescues (a little extra space up around the waist and thighs...but nothing too serious). I love 'em.

  7. heBay: ähm don't know if you read that i made them slimmer...?!

mine are soaked once in really hot water and were washed once..imo samurai denim stretches a lot so be careful!

I definitely did know you made them slimmer...but not TOO slim from what the pics show. Did they stretch back out to original fit eventually (or even more than when you bought them)? I ask cause my size 34 Jin's are a bit too baggy, on purpose due to the shrinkage they'll undergo in the pre-wear hot soak. I just don't want them to go baggier than the original store bought fit.

  8. I usually wear mine during the soak. That works pretty well. :)

Hot soak? How long do you soak for with them on? I always thought an hour at least was needed for a sufficient amount.

  9. For my Jin's...

After a good hour and a half hot soak...should I wear them to dry to be sure that the waist doesn't shrink all crazy on me? Or just give the waist and inseam a good tug to stretch, then hang em up to air dry (probably will include the hanger in the waist)?

  10. keep in mind that mine are 2 sizes too big!

usually i wear 33-34 and this is 36

i made them slimmer and now they look like this

the denim is really nice...little teaser:

I'm about to do the same with those and my Jin's...size up x 2. The fit looks sick to me...my style of loose, but not baggy. 2 questions...

-How did you go about drying them? Did you wear 'em for a little post-soak, or just slid the good ole hanger into the waist?

-How are they coming along in terms of stretch? Do they fit much baggier after a few weeks/months of wear?

Hmmm...they got some 35's at BIG...maybe I should go for those since I rock 32-33 (34 sometimes if the fit is a little slimmer).

  11. If I have trouble buttoning before the hot soak I will size up. My rule of thumb is that I like pre-soak to be just a little bit loose. You will panic post soak then they will stretch to the right size.

Good looks on the info...down to BIG I run tomorrow...

Give 'em a good hour and a half in the bathtub with hot water...but should I wear them to dry to be sure that the waist doesn't shrink all crazy on me? Or just give the waist and inseam a good tug to stretch, then hang em up to air dry?

Mind you...I'm usually a 32 for a nice not-too-tight fit in APC Rescues. The Jin's I have are 33 but because of the higher waist, I have to pull 'em ALL THE WAY up to do the top button...but then my balls get scared (I rock my denim with some saggage...out of respect for my "stuff" lol).

  12. So I just had the chance to try on my Jin's again...and I have to struggle a little bit to button up the top button. Is this going to be an issue for hot soaking them (for the first time)? Should I size up to 34" waist? They are pretty roomy everywhere else...but not real baggy and I don't want thigh-lockers, nut-crunchers, butt-exposers or wahtever else I can name a tight pair of jeans lol.

I thoroughly appreciate all of the feedback you guys have been throwing me...
