    cam'ron - confessions of fire

boards of canada - music has the right to children

    kobe bryant freestyles

    end.

Wow...not only did you bringout Kobe in the booth and classic Lord Finesse (his best material)...but Killa's "Confessions..."

I'ma have to whip out that and "S.D.E." today...easily Cam's best two albums (although 'come home with me' was pretty tough too...esp. compared to nowadays).

  2. Skull 5010xx 6x6 Raw. 32'' waist (I'm 5' 11'' and 72kgs with cyclists thighs hence why I sized up)

Hemmed by FabFour, I've not soaked them.

Though I got hammered for tax I'm really happy with them. The fact that they're the old style red tab version is a bonus...

VERY nice fit Gem...they are slim but not...and you can sag 'em all nice like.

  3. Do they have BMX's over there? I was gonna get a GT Performer off of eBAY, actually on a few occassions. I did some research on spots in NYC who carry either Haro or GT...but there really isn't much of a market here...gottdammit.

  4. Another thing...does anyone have any other products to recommend for occassional acne (with oily skin)...whenever you get a breakout...what the hell do you use? As I said, the Ling drying lotion (which is based around salicylic acid) is pretty effective. I think I'ma start poppin' Vitamin E's...I drink alot of water daily (definitely 8 glasses, at least)...and cop me a showerhead filter. ANything to spot-destroy a pimple?

Obviously, I'm going to have to tame my oily skin too...so I'll be researching many of the aforementioned cleansers and moisturizers.

  5. Have any of you with acne issues (or not) ever heard of some medicated cream called "Tazorac?"

Here's a story for ya...some history first: I usually rock with this "Ling" drying lotion that I acquired after my first facial (pause, no homo, etc.)...this Chinese spot in...guess where...Chinatown. They gave me the bottle that they opened for my facial...and it worked very well (still does). Well, needless to say, a couple of years ago, I ran out and tried to go with Clean & Clear astringent (I know this sounds like skin death...but I have very oily skin so I guess it wasn't AS bad as it could have been). My skin is so oily, that I usually can go with a bit of mild facial cleanser in the shower (again, Clean & Clear...sensitive skin...the teal bottle), and then the Ling on "troublesome" areas to bed...and I'm good.

Okay...now to this Tazorac part of the story: I get occassional worse than usual breakouts every couple of years (who knows why...combo of stress, my oily skin, series of late nights, liquor, lack of moisturization/exfoliation, etc.)...and the time I tried to rock without the Ling product, after a few months, the breakout happened again. It became a pretty serious issue where I would wake up everyday with something new and red on my face (felt like a bad trip through puberty). So boom, I spoke to my primary care physician about it...he recommended that Tazorac stuff. Well, the shit is like most of these "prescription" acne meds, stating that it will cause reddening/break outs for the first couple of weeks, but then by the 8th week, your skin will be clear as day. I started to use it, very lightly...on the breakout spots...and boy oh boy...that shit burned...I literally felt a stinging, hot sensation...and of course, my skin stayed red...even upon waking up. After about a week or two of worsening skin condition...I couldn't deal.

I decided to do what I did in the past to cure the breakouts...go downtown and pamper myself with a facial (pause, again)...and re-up on the Ling drying lotion. Well...it worked pretty well (as usual) for the last couple of years.

Does anyone else have any experience or knowledge of this gottdamn Tazorac cream? I just can't fuck with something that'll mess my face up worse than it's ever been for more than a couple of days. I was lucky enough to have only those periodic breakouts and not a constant stream of acne...perhaps I need to jump on the exfoliation bandwagon...although I was using a Clean & Clear facial cleanser that had little bits in it "for exfoliation"...although I do not know how official that type of exfoliation is...after a while, especially once I started getting the breakouts...it just made my skin red and prone to more bullshit.

  6. Yep...it happened to my girl in the subway station...little fucks must've removed the "Wet Paint" signs. Beige paint on her shirt(s) and Uniqlo jeans. The jeans have a medium to large spot on the ass...the shirts have streaks across the lower section (from leaning on the ledge). Any tips on how to save these garments? Is it even possible?

I searched the forums and found one thread...but it wasn't very extensive and pretty much only offered "turpenoid" as a "that should work" answer for the denim. Any other suggestions or confirmation on how well that will work?

    Thanks mang.

  7. hate to revive this old chestnut, but i had to comment...just racked a couple ralph lauren regular fit polos not 20 minutes ago. my question: what the fuck happened to these shirts? the large is like a smedium, the xl is like XXL, and why the FUCK is there like 2 inches of extra material at the back??? do you know what i mean when i say this? its like a cape at the back.it looks ridiculous, and its a shame because the construction and fabric is aces. i guess ill tailor em, but for the price they want, i would NEVER buy one of these shirts.

Spoken like a Lo head lol...I need a team of rackers/boosters...it's a good thing to have.

  8. But the hot wash/dryer really shrinks up the ass and waist which is always a problem for me.

Agreed...to the point where I have to rock the jeans with the top button undone...or soak the waist in cold water and throw them on while their still wet (until dry) to give them an accelerated stretch. The second method actually can be painful, especially if you think about your poor lower body blood flow.

  9. Haha this thread started to go from "affordable, quality polos' to another "what brand polo do you rock?" thread...

I would say obviously RL...outlet or catch 'em on sale. Or wait till one of your loved ones hits you with a gift certificate to Bloomies or Macy's on your b-day.

Uniqlo is definitely a great, cheaper, alternative. I've had nothing but good experience with their fits and quality...not to mention selection of colors.

Brooks Bros. slim fit is great and affordable...AND they are outlet-friendly as well.

I have to see the Marc Stinky Rat polos...heard nothing but great stuff about 'em. Surprisingly affordable from what I can say.

AA...eh...I'd say stay away from them...they'll probably tear at the sleeve or the buttons will fall off. I've had the opposite experience with AA as I have had with Uniqlo (cept for fit). Go in there to talk to funky girls...and fantasize about the slore'ish girls in the print ads.

  10. I just re-read an old email Shinichi sent me, and it seems I was mistaken before:

    "About Sanforized

    5507XX are sanforized.

    However it is soft sanforized.

Therefore 5507XX(and other jeans too) will shrink by

around 2-2.5cm by wash and knee's wrinkle."

    Sorry for the misinformation. :o

So basically that means they'll certainly shrink, but a far less dramatic shrink than with totally unsanforized denim (i.e. Samurai)??

Where do the S5000XX's (raw) stand in the whole sanforization bit?
