  1. The idea of my next purchase leads me to question which of these five pairs I will throw my money at...

Skull S5000xx vs. Somet 003 vs. PBJ XX-003 vs. Oni Red vs. Iron Heart 21oz.

I know it sounds crazy and perhaps noobish...being that there's so many choices and a world of difference from the 14 ouncers to the Iron Hearts...my reasons for each...

-The Skull's and Somet's for ease, since they are sanforized, it is like a pair of APC's...rock 'em straight out the box. I've tried on the Skulls and loved the fit. Haven't yet tried on the Somet's, but the lower rise and plain'ness (no branding) are both pretty kosher details.

-The PBJ's and Oni's = slubby. I've heard very good things about the quality of PBJ denim...plus I tried on the xx-003's the same day I tried on the Skulls...I loved the fit as well. Oni's I have yet to try on...but I'm excited to see how they rock.

-Iron Hearts...well who doesn't want a pair of 21 oz. Japanese selvedge denim (if you're in a climate that isn't a constant 85 degrees all year round). Plus I heard the denim quality was amazing...just don't know about the fit...and it's too bad BIG doesn't carry 'em.

I guess I should have placed more stress on the best of each world: Sanforized Japanese denim and Slubby Japanese denim. But then it's "here comes the Iron Hearts"...barging in on the competition.

I currently am finishing up a pair of APC Rescues, and starting off some Samurai 110xj's...which I love due to the Lee-style fit and 17 oz.'ness...plus the texture ain't half bad neither. I plan on alternating this next purchase with those Sammies.

I also have the Marc Jacobs x Wrangler jawns to play with.

  2. It's only sterile once it leaves your body.

I hate splashback.. I'll either use the toilet, or if nobody else is around, stand back from the urinal by at least a foot. Still, splashback is one thing. Pissing your pants is completely different.

Wise Master Fufu calls that the "Super Soaker Technique"...but I had to fight him in the Kumate for a patent on it...I made that style of public toilet usage up. My record (so far) is a healthy 5.5 feet away from the toilet (after a few large hot sakes). Although with that distance, you have to master the "drip-dash"...so you're not just pissin' on the floor (which will splash onto your kicks and jeans) when the stream is near completion.

Needless to say, I'm here today to speak about the technique unlike Master Fufu.

  3. if you cannot pull it off, then don't try.

they do not look good on white skate kids, and look especially worse

on fucking fake-ass hardcore kids from jersey that come into NYC to

buy them right from the new era store.

chances are, the problem isn't that a fitted cap isn't fitting in with your

look, but that any baseball cap is going to throw off your profile. it also

has a lot to do with your attitude- one of those things with too many

cultural implications to ignore. so, turn up the swagger.

THIS PERSON TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH.

Some dickhead always turns this type of a topic into a race thing...just because it's an urban trend (see: hip-hop)...

It's not about race...black or white...as OneManCult previously mentioned...it's really about your swagg/attitude...and if you can simply pull it off correctly. Period.

Everyone saying shit like "black rappers" and "white skaters" should kill themselves early.

  4. I am pretty sure I measured it correctly, plus I've also found that since the front rise is just a bit lower (2 cm's) than the New Standards (I think the New Cures are the same as the NS), the waist measures a bit larger than tagged since the jeans are meant to sit a tad lower on your waist/hips. It really isn't a significant difference to me, I've tried on NS, Hipsters, and own a pair of Rescues (which are the same rise as NS, New Cures, etc.)...and I can say that it isn't like they shaved half an inch off of the rise. If you wear New Cures in a tagged 31 waist (for a 31-32 true waist), I'd do the same for these. Worse comes to worse, if the waist is a bit roomy, a quick soak before your first real wear would be perfect.

As a side-note, the Hipster is considered a unisex model just like the New Standards (at least in the store).
