  1. Wordup...the Class 5 destroys everything. Dope color combo that IS reversible. Extra Pockets. Freshest kangaroo pocket in life. All of the details.

Truth be told, he wasn't the only one watching that auction...but that's my mans and 'em...if it was anyone else on here, you'd be dead on that. DEADED.

Not like we didn't have a convo or two about that very piece (how lucky heads were to have searched "Class 5" in eBAY that week).

  2. I feel like that triangular logo tag below the standard 60/40 cloth label came about in the mid 80's and continued on into the early 90's as I have seen in on a number of ugly malaysia made track top looking things that can be found in thrift stores.

Exactly. I started watching that tan SD 60/40 on the 'BAY...bearing the Triangular mark of the beast. Something was fishy when a SD 60/40 that is in mint condition isn't near the $50-80 mark with 2-3 days left...there weren't any bids (starting at $9.99).

I then noticed that the same Triangular logo was on the flap of the lower left pocket... and soon came to realize that it was much in the vein of that 80's-90's style of OD-branding, to which most of these companies distastefully sacrificed their good ol' "clean" aesthetic.

    Fuck you ugly whore logo.

A Sierra Designs 60/40 for $50 and change on eBAY...THIS YEAR??!! Someone got GOTTED.

  3. So...as my first major contribution to this thread...in a long time...I'd like to start with confirming a little sizing question surrounding those lovely Crescent Down Works "Montange" Parkas... YES...THEY RUN HUGE. I have no idea how any human that isn't at least 8' tall would realistically wear something larger than a Large.

I'm 6'1"...slim and all that good shit...pause...and I can safely say a Small works for a much more traditional, roomy, fit (I wear a Medium in the old school 60/40's...Woolrich, LL Bean, REI, etc.)...and if I wanted, I can go to XS for a slimmer, somewhat more flattering fit everywhere except for the hood (which hardly stayed on my head due to it's young'ness compared to my dome).

I tried on the joints at DQM. That's how.

I would probably roll with a Small just to get all of the maximum function and traditional shit in the bag...really really ill details with the leather reinforcements around the snaps and all. The only minor minor complaint I have is that the zipper seems flimsy...only because it is not one of the old-style chunky, over-sized, Talon'ish joints.

  4. The 90's ruled for PV. Fuck the bull...many many ill bands. I don't know how one could say MITB is the ONLY worthy powerviolence band.

Two comps that are essential...Reality series and Cry Now, Cry Later Vols. 1-4. Those pretty much sum up this thread.

I've been on a heavy Spazz kick recently...and Despise You is also a favorite of the 90's bands. Another great comp I've been throwing on recently is Possessed To Skate. Charles Bronson, Spazz, Asshole Parade, Despise You...not to mention Palatka to shake things up with some chaos.

I agree on the influx of new re-hashy bands...but of the new shit, I definitely dig Mind Eraser, Iron Lung, and Hatred Surge...maybe something like Weekend Nachos... but the rest, after having listened to again/over time just becomes stale (too much Crossed Out worship).

I agree, the Ceremony EP was the best shit they put out to me...the full-lengths ARE definitely redundant (every song containing the words "fucking" and "hate"...it gets a little parody-worthy after a minute). Dunno if I'd consider them PV anyways.

Any Superfuture kids looking for shit to do this Saturday night in the city...come through...I'm spinnin' alongside my man sHaKe. Mucho joints. Free...and $5 drink (liquor) specials, all night. Word.

  6. ahh union of uranus shirt, i'm jealous. Had a pin, but fell off my shorts years ago.

noothgrush t is a small. i still wear it actually, i just rock an unbuttoned flannel over it so it's not as obvious.

Yeah I have to do that with the Dropdead business.

Rorschach last night yielded MANY a new merch purchase...first time I went and copped from a merch booth in YEARS. Mad shirts...including the coveted "Divine Machine" and the Pushead design.

  7. uhm...RORSCHACH was fucking amazing. Celebrity Murders DESTROYED. The pit was all love and no toughguy windmill roundhouse ignant shit...just straight bulldozing, headwalking, human battering ram'age (really, this big dude picked up a small'ish guy and used him as a human ram...comedy)...

Celebrity Murders...what a fucking way to go out...intense and heavy as fuck and aggro as shit. Artie was going nuts in the pit during Rorschach's crush'age.

    The Degenerics were dope too...

But really, RORSCHACH was incredible...tight, and super pissed, yet happy to be in front of a packed venue of crazy adults and SOME CHILDREN (Vlad, the 7 year old Rorschach fan). "Pavlov's Dogs" made for an explosion in the room.

    They did two covers too.

The second of which, Ted Leo came out to set off...encore status.

  8. ^^Yes, Orchid kills. Is the Noothgrush shirt a Small or Large?

I've actually gone to Stanton to slim down a few insanely large L's and XL's to fit much better/realistically.

For shirts that are too small, I usually end up cutting out the logo and sewing it onto a blank Uniqlo tee (patch style)...worked very well for the red Citizens Arrest shirt I had. About to do that to:

-Born Against shirt (the barbed wire fence graphic),

-(Union of) Uranus shirt (the "trendy riots" graphic),

-Deadguy shirt (golden yellow "Die Hippie Scum" double sided graphic),

and perhaps the infamous Dropdead "Burnt Face" shirt that I turned into a sleeveless, collarless, 'beater type joint...where I just rock a longer beater underneath to make up for the slight lack of length.

    Otherwise, the favorites include:

-Grey Rorschach god=satan double-sided shirt with comical olde illustration on the back ("the result of a disagreement"...one gentleman decking another)

-a super worn/soft as hell Citizens Arrest white logo tee...the fit cannot get any better as well.

-Deadguy "Death to False Metal" double-sided with the red lettering and pentagram on the front.

I also have a bunch of other OG Dropdead shirts...those cats put out crazy amounts of soft goods.

  9. Anyone still need a ticket for tonight's Rorschach show at Santos Party House, NYC? Seriously. One of the kid's I was holding it for canceled...and I may even have another one. $12...same as what they're asking at the door/ticketweb.

    Holler at me.

  10. Fuck, anyone going to the Rorschach reunion shows next week? They're going to have a double LP set remixed/remastered and all their old merch available. Will kill person of your choice for a few shirts and the LP set.

bunch of old zines about to end

Haha I will be at the Santos show...definitely hunting for merch. Also they'll be playing the Charleston RIGHT AFTER at 11pm with Hellbastard. Courtesy of BK Vegan.

  11. Funny that you categorized Walk With Me as a banger too. It's a dope song, but ... c'mon, you can't get hype to that shit.

It's hilarious that Necro has a beat on this album too. I mean Rae and Bill had a track together and were supposed to do a collab mixtape a few years back so it was known the camps were talking. But as if Necro's ego isn't big enough already ...

    The wizard has been summoned...

J, you're buggin..."Walk Wit Me" is stupid STUPID ill. Should've been on the US CD and should've been the album closer...no lies there.

The joint Necro produced was actually the only joint on that album floatin' around months prior to its release (other than "New Wu" of course)...and it was titled "Necro"...which was weird to me...but I just attributed that to their sometimes strange twisting of the English language (which is always good).

  12. Need more info about Rorschach reunion ASAP.

see you there fam. just got my tix from SantosParyHouse.com (ticketweb.com really)...Celebrity Murders last show...

CR reunion with IABHORHER, CAPITAL and EXELAR in Shaolin the next day! AHHHHWTLKATLAKHL!!!!
