  1. HaroMaster88.jpg

A complete, classic Haro with mostly OG parts w/ all original decals and paint. Perfect for a restoration project...but can still blow minds and is fully ride'able now.

Pretty much stock except for maybe the tires, cranks, and seat + post (old school Dyno) - still all old school parts!

    $450 Shipped.

Classic Teal Blue 4130 Chromoly '88 Master Frame

    '88 Master Frame/Fork w/ Fold-Down Pegs

    Kneesaver Bars

    Dia-Compe AD-990 Brakes

    Peregrine HP-48 Chrome Wheels

    Shimano PD-MX15 Via R Pedals

    Odyssey Gyro

    AME Grips

    etc.

Some nicks and specks of rust, plus a little dirt from storage, but definitely good for an '88. No damage, no cracks, no re-welds, no dents or major dings.

There is an old school AirWalk sticker on the Kneesavers, but this can easily be removed through a strip and re-powdercoat job. New '88 Master decal sets are easy to score online as is a Viscount Dominator seat. I just don't have the time nor space for the task.

For some reason the Haro front sprocket is put on reversed (though it won't really matter since the bike will probably have to be disassembled for shipping).

Fully stripped mostly NOS Masters easily go for upwards of $600-700 on eBAY (some of which are missing seats, posts, grips, and tires). This is a deal.

I live across the street from a bike shop, so packaging and shipping will not be a problem. I'm down for pick-ups if anyone is in the NYC/Tri-State area.

Got mega gear on the way for sale!

  2. How do Danner ML2's fit? I usually wear a 10.5 in most shoes, 10-10.5 in boots and 11 in sneakers.

You'd be a size 10 from what you're sayin'. They fit a half size down from your actual foot size. I wear 11 in Vans, Alden, Arrow Moc...10.5 in my Danners (although I have a 10.5 Wide). The fit is PERFECT.

  3. I'm battling with these boots right now. Afraid that the fit just isn't for me. I made the mistake of assuming that they'd break-in to fit, but I'm not sure it's going to work out. If anyone is interested, they'd fit a US8.5-9 best, they're brand new, I would probably let them for for $200. You can PM me.

    Shame...those are nice.

BUY THEM IF YOU CAN FIT THEM.

  4. They can be resoled, yeah--these have been resoled once before. I forget who I had do it--it was probably ten years ago now when I had it done and I went through Vasque to do it. This time I'm going to send them to Dave Page in Seattle--he's supposedly the best at this type of stuff. Be careful though, it's always a risk that the boots won't fit the same after resoling, although I've heard that Dave is the best at avoiding this problem. Getting Vibrams on them shouldn't be a big deal--I was planning on getting Vibrams on these when I send them in. Ideally, I'd like to get the original Vibram that was on there back on, but that sole may be long gone. I'll keep you posted.

Ha...glad you mentioned "Seattle Dave" Page...I just made that up...but it should catch on like Class 5 as the go to for 60/40's and anoraks next to Sierra D. Anyways...if I didn't mention Seattle Dave before, I certainly meant to after having an enlightening conversation about getting my Danners resoled (when I purchased them) at Tent&Trails last year. The helpful clerk told me about Dave and his numerous presses and apprentices. Definitely has a rep as being the "real deal".

  5. i don't know about rolex, but other watchmakers (IWC and blancpain) keep a catalog of old parts in their main service center in switzerland. so bring it to the rolex service in NY and they can see if the mothership has the part in the archives. other than that, there are a couple vintage watch guys in the city that are amazing with restoration etc, but they're not going to be able to help you with an extra link on that vintage rolex you posted before. you're probably going to have to have a jeweler make it for you.
just go to the rolex service room. its at 665 5th avenue in the rolex building. I had my wife's rolex serviced there. they can probably do it for you pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info, both of you. Luckily I have the additional links in the box...shouldn't be an issue at the Rolex homefront.

  6. Okay NYC watch peoples...I am in need of a specialist to in the city who can insert/connect the additional band links on the vintage Rolex I got wifey. Any suggestions?

Is there a Stanton Tailor of watch professionals in the city?

  7. I actually JUST won that same anorak. 2 weeks ago. I'm happy. If you're over 6'1"...do NOT buy a small. I don't care how gay you like to dress...that shit'll be young as a muhfucka on you. I have a medium and it fits perfectly...I could even do a large and it wouldn't look sloppy.

    I am happy.

  8. Hey guys...let's all stand up and applaud the reversible Class 5 anorak, as previously displayed by my man RBW, for reaching Sierra Designs 60/40 status...yaaaay...vintage clothings for the great outdoors ...at asinine prices on ebay!!!! (not even a BIN...straight up bids by fools who want that "next shit")

    fackin' retadded!

So I have no idea who these cats are...or what their angle is...but I kinda don't hate it. True it is just like what all of these retro 80's kids are doing...just with a '92-'94 twist...from the video to the beat...but the first cat and last cat were actually decent...and the beat is decent. I don't hate that shit. I dunno though.

I wanna give Vodka a beat to wreck shit on...that would be some hardbody shit ...certified.

  10. Sup sufu, been a while, but Im back.

DoggyHoods are freaking awesome, if youre looking for more ridiculous beatdown, you should check out Six Ft Ditch.

Oh and just sos you know, Tuesdays are now BeatDownTuesday, all you twitter mofos better hashtag that shit up. If i dont see it trending by this time next week ima come bust some heads.

Yours truly, Clockwork, sufus resident beatdown specialist / hardcore secretary of defence :D

what up beatdown meister...loooong time...same goes for me though.

hope you're happy that I've been on a Disembodied kick for the last two weeks...NOT beatdown...but definitely mid-tempo slammer masters.

  11. My supreme mountain parka wont repel the tears.

    Dope.

If I ever deare to sell my motorola coat...you get first dibs off the strength of that post.

Honestly, if you're nitro fresh like some of us are...crescent fresh even (for all the sifl & ollie heads)...you can make the old functional stuff look just GREAT. Some MAY need tailoring...plenty won't though. Understanding silhouettes and blah blah fashion forum blah blah awesome thread blah blah new cool stuff to wear...blah blah get on ebay blah blah blog blah stanton tailor saved my shape blah blah blah blah.

    Okay...i'm sober I swear.

Just size down one or two...isn't that always the trick on here?!?

  12. I'ma say this quickly before I tell myself not to...but the mention of Supreme and all other streetwear should be moved to a "Streetwear That Rips Off Clothing For The Great Outdoors" thread. I don't know how else to say it. It's either you contribute or you just regurgitate for the semi-corporate ego-stroke of it all. Whatever...maybe some of the Japanese brands are partially guilty of this...but I'm sick of shitty U.S. streetwear brands getting looked at as worthwhile for spewing forth redundancy.

It is just an exhaustive exercise in re-branding. You take something and keep it the same, just slap your shitty face all over it.

Yeah this has just turned into who's "genuine and for the good of it all" versus who's "fake and evil"...

I'm just at that point with the whole pseudo-phenomenon of it all. Most of these companies are the big city equivalent to suburban mall subcultural adaptation ...huh? I mean these guys are on some mall punk authenticity shit. Let's take a trend/popular subculture and make hollow exploitation of it...by hollow I mean there's nothing new or remotely quality about 90% of what these cats come out with...Supreme being the pioneer of that. From the various screen-printed Gildan/Hanes tees sets they've come out with (the "hardcore punk" series springs to mind), which are insanely priced for a boxy, standard non-soft cotton t-shirt...to the recent horrendous APC collab that essentially takes a pair of New Standards and embroiders some embarrassing catch-phrase (one that I choose to never ever recall) where everyone will see it and ask "why the fuck did that idiot put that on his jeans?"

    al;kwhtawl;khtal;tkha;litya;lhktaw;lhtlaw;kht;alkh!!!!

Back to the good part, the only recent (U.S.) streetwear-marketed outdoor gear worthy of this thread (that I know of) is the DQM x CDW collab...because it is CDW and CDW-quality. There's nothing new about it...yes, of course they put a DQM logo tag on the inside...but at least a streetwear-minded company did the right thing and went straight to the source, that which has a history of superior quality U.S. made wears, and had it done properly without any visible re-branding. They could have instead said "oh hey this is the hot shit now...let's copy from what everyone else has based their outdoors designs...and not do shit 'cept add our logo and outsource to a 3rd World factory to save on production costs. We can sell it for prices we think everyone will deem reasonable and we will get mentioned in High Snobiety...if not Hypebeast as well!"

Wordup...vintage Sierra Designs 60/40 by The Gap, next year! The Gap is BACK YO.
