  1. Yeah we were talking about that summertime video at work. I'm convinced it's intended to be a viral campaign of some sort.

Also, did you notice the weird blue, electric ball that appears in her hands and rolls across the screen at 2:20? That was the thing that conviced me.

just messing around. Jockey makes some Slim undershirts. Hanes Premium does to. You can get them at Target. I had been buying the hanes premium v-necks in a size down and just not throwing them in the dryer. They were surprisingly long.

But I think I'm gonna have to bit the bullet and buy a 3 pack of AA Summer Shirt. They're very slim and long, good for layering underneath

  3. I've got 2 really nice Corter belts up for sale in the market. Unfortunately they are too small.

But the leather is really nice, and very thick. The Latigo Indigo is such a nice color for this leather

  4. Although terrible lighting, I thought I'd post a couple fit pics. I'll try to post more when there's some good daylight. I'll say I was expecting a smaller leg opening, but I think they're great. Very tight in the knee, but I'm expecting them to stretch.

I'll say for those contemplating these or wondering about the fit, if you have slim legs go true to size or down a little--the waist stretches and the calves aren't skinny at all.

  5. Got some 13s last week and finally soaked them yesterday. I was a bit worried, they almost fit pretty good raw and was worried about shrinkage. But 20 minutes in cold water kept them from crushing me. I'm contemplating a second soak. As you can see, they're still pretty stiff with starch:

I'm amazed at the different fits a pair of jeans can have depending on the person wearing them. Some peoples' look a bit loose, others very slim.

I'd say at the moment these have a fit close to my Skull 5010s.

  6. Thanks for the resoling links.

Regarding Obernauf's LP darkening the leather, my experience with it is that over time it will lighten up a little but not much. My redwind 8138 went from a reddish-cherry-cigar color to mostly brown. I think I posted some photos a few pages back. There's a little red tint, but they really darkened and have kept going with subsequent LP applications.

  7. I can't decide between:

    1) Pure Blue Japan - XX-013JP

    or

    2) Pure Blue Japan Jeans - XX-005

    or

    3) Pure Blue Japan Jeans - XX-012

    or

    4) The Flat Head SE05BSP

I'm going for a low (or mid) rise slim jean that has a slight bit of taper at the bottom. My legs are skinny, so not only do I usually not need to worry about tight thighs, but also jeans that look slim or skinny on others tend to look a bit looser on me.

  8. ^gonna go on a nice hike on the weekend, if the weather is right, so stay tuned ;)

in the meantime, here's what i did yesterday:

Were those suede to begin with? I've got some Clarks Desert boots that I am getting a new pair to re-up and I'm looking for experiments to do with those. This might be a good option. I'm also wondering about replacing the sole to look like this:

Does anybody have any experience doing a resole on desert boots? I'm wondering what I should ask for at the cobbler. Thanks

  9. Does anybody know or have recommendations for wallets that look nice but have RFID protection? Someone in the EDC thread posted this one: http://www.amazon.com/Stewart-Stand-Smooth-Stainless-Silver/dp/B002Z5RDG2/?tag=everydc-20

which isn't bad, but I'd like to see some more.

Specifically, it would be great if it had a protective area for most cards on the inside with a pocket that can still expose a card on the outside. Chicago's CTA transit pass just underwent a change and we got new cards from a new system. I've had the new system charge both my debit and credit cards last month and have now had to resort to taking my transit pass out of my wallet to scan. I'd like to be able to keep it in my wallet and tap it to pass through, but have some protection so that the sensor doesn't scan the Chase or MasterCard blink chips in my regular cards.

    thanks for any help
