  1. In person, didn't whip out a tape measure, nor did I hold the M & L up together, but they seem wider than ever pit to pit. Seem short too, when you hold them up, they look distinctly "boxy" rather than rectangular in appearence.

'constructed' non-mesh tee's seem slightly better, with a more normal looking neck-hole.

If your over 5' 11 and not obese, L's gonna be too "grandma's curtains" whereas M gonna be too "look at my navel". (slight exaggeration).

  4. Im guessing getting a visa and staying in NY for work in hte 80's was a lot easier than it is now? I've met several people who've worked magazines and one for a graphic design company (the one who did Trump Vodka) and there's no way any of them could've or would've stayed longer.

And as for getting the fnances to just start up your own business, either the guy's scrimped and saved, whilst living like a pauper, or he just was rich.

  5. Has anyone got a photo of Jebbia with a skateboard? Can't believe he was connected with Duffer. Two words: Jamie Oliver (americans wont get that).

Does Jebbia even get involved wiht the brand at all now, or does he just sit at home showing his kids re-runs of Grange Hill, while his accountant tells him news?

  6. Daniel Wu and Edison Chen. Anywhere along that line and you will do fine.

    Never heard of Wu, Daniel.

The only reason that EC is famous is he a CBC. So much easier to become big in HK if your some kind of imported talent. Maggie Q springs to mind. HK just love imports.

Does anyone know if Silly Thing is closed for long time? Sent the wife today, she wasnt happy.

  7. Thanks for the info, repped

I am looking for a non-technical looking jacket with all the amenities offered by high tech materials etc.

I assume 3L gore will be too hot in the mild Spring/Fall climates of Hong Kong

Dont do 2 or 3L. I'd do paclite.

  8. philosophy closed down a while ago.

it was a book / cluthing store run by tet and his folks

in the latest issue of the philosophy mag, he talks about the various means of communication. he initially used his retail store as a medium to connect with likeminded ppl. after a while, he thought of moving onto another format and he chose to go with zines.

blackflag is the wtaps / wackomaria / svg flagship store

they also sell shit by celt and cobra, kuumba, m&m

Ahh thanks for the knowledge. Kuumba isnt that the incense? I dont get why that stuff is so popular.

  9. Doesn't it depend if you like shopping... Surely HK is cheaper and has more to offer? CBA with mainland, buying fake dvds and getting a visa to go. Lantau Island and NT is good enough for scenery.

Really want to go to Tai-O next time, heard is quite cool. Anyone checked it out
