  1. What fits do Ooe have these days? I've worn my 4101XX from 2008 to hell almost, in my top three favorite pairs of jeans ever. I tapered them when I got them due to chicken legs, so does Ooe have a fit that is more tapered that the standard 47-ish fit?

E: Seems like 02 is the fit I want. How would would it be with custom patch, buttons and arcs? Do you e-mail them for the fabric chart?

02 cut is the best cut there is.

You can email them and they send you the samples of their denim for you to choose.

  2. shoreman, LOL, I realize that my horsemeat discussion must have gotten lost in translation. My point was : Since many of us (including me) justify wearing leather stuff by rationalizing that we eat the animal's flesh for food first, that logic doesn't play out. Nobody hates ocelots or horses or cows or rabbits, do they ? Does everyone that wears Aero horsehide jackets enjoy eating a plate of horsemeat ? I seriously doubt it. So that poor fool who wore the ocelot and leather jacket deserves no more criticism than those of us who wear horsehide shoes and leathers but don't eat horsemeat. Personally, I don't know any human horsemeat connoisseurs

but I'm sure they exist -- and such folks are more morally justified in wearing horsehide, for instance, than I am. Now, please...don't misconstrue my message as being "go cook up a plate of ocelots for supper". That's not my intent at all ! My point is...there's some hypocrisy in criticizing that ocelot jacket wearing fellow. Ocelots invoke much pity, because they are awfully cute...but so are horsies !

    What, no horse meat? :D

I'd say 99.9% of meat eaters here eat or have eaten horse meat. But then again, not long ago we were still living in caves when others were building cathedrals and such...

There is a really popular sausage here that is made from horse meat mostly, called "метка", mettwurst. It's originally from Kazakstan region I believe but now it's made in Finland also (from other than horse meats too) and I've seen it in eastern europe, germany (where I believe it's popular too) and so on.

When it comes to meat industry, I believe that eating horse meat would be one of the most "humane" treats.

Eating pigs and "chicken" would not.

In some cultures wearing a fur coat of some rare species is considered to be a sign of status and wealth and some other cultures can't understand that at all (except their anthropologists). :)

  3. Fracap Scarponcini hiking boots, UK10.5 EUR45 (I'd say they fit half a size smaller than usual...)

    SOLD

Russell Moccasin Huron Thula Thula, size US 10.5C.

Munson last, Vibram Newporter sole and additional leather lining on heel part of the shoe.

I've worn them once (and they're too large for me) so almost like new.

The picture was taken under a fluorescent lamp so the color is a little bit off, but you get the point.

  4. guys any suggestions for good/simple fleece beanie, preferably with windstopper or something similar? I know they sell those military goretex watch caps but those look pretty bulky..

There are plenty of merino wool ones, get one of those. They're especially good if you're doing some outdoors activities that involve sweating and such.

  5. My Ooe&Y's

Grey pair is 5002xx from last spring and blue pair is 2101xx from two years ago. Both are size 32 and with custom detailing. Grey ones are starting to show a reddish hue, due to oxidation maybe? Anyways, I like it! :)

  6. just shoot them a mail and ask, they'll send u samples of denim that might suit your needs...

I'm gonna soak my S1203XX tomorrow, curious how the goat patch will react...

Depends how hot your water is. Mine got fucked and went dark, but it is only a patch.

Soak them as hot as you want but leave the patch outside of it (by using a string or whatever method). Submerge the whole jeans when the water has cooled down. Thats what I do! :)
