  1. I dont think it's that they're using cheap thread or anything.

Yes it's 100% cotton and less durable than a poly blend, but I think the durability issue comes from the way most people wear their skulls--i.e. very slim. This leads to more stress on the stitching, therefore more breakage.

    Wise words!

  2. do you have any idea how much these will stretch out in the waist?

Mine are now 32.5" and these used to be 30.5". I haven't used a belt at all (about three weeks non stop) but now I have to pull my jeans up all the time... :)

I'm sure they would stretch even more if needed.

  3. True, it is pretty good - not bad. But I think I'd prefer without; I like simplicity. If I could remove the cross on my 5010, I would, but it looks like one of the pocket stitches might go over it and I don't want to fuck up the stitching that actually is necessary. I need to look carefully under a bright lamp. Has anyone done this operation?

I'm pretty sure that the pocket stitches don't go over it, as they do the cross stitch after they cut off the tab. Can't be sure though. :)

  4. Do Ryo & Hiro undervalue the package?? They sent my jeans out before i could tell them...
They wrote "personal use pants" on the address label

And they undervalue them without asking at 3000 yen, at least they did it for me.

  5. I last messed with weed (brownies) on apr. 18th, 2 days ago. my drug test(s) are probably going to be early-mid may. how long does it take to get out of your system? if i may not have enough time, what should i do between now and then besides not smoke?

Umm, why you have to take a drug test?

  6. They still do, didn't realize that, thanks.

Am I right to think that, since I want something other than LLbean and don't want to pay for Quoddys price increase , Arrow is the brand to be looking at?

these double eyelits look so awesome

Those look really good. I'd take them over Quoddys anyday (and not just the looks)...

  8. again my apologies to the buyer since he wasn't satisfied with the purchase, I've offered a partial refund which wasn't high enough in the buyer's opinion and was refused.

This wasn't some kind of hack job trying to rip him off or anyone else off, it really is small and unnoticeable in person, he had these jeans for almost 2 weeks and didn't personally notice anything until the cleaners said something. It really is that small that I had honestly forgot about it myself. Clearly lesson learned, next time I will post detailed pictures of everything.

and for buyer hopefully before he buys anything used he'd ask for additional pictures and description especially for a used item. In my opinion these jeans sold looked like a used pair of jeans, creases, stretching, marks, frays, fading, etc. Clearly I'm alone on this so like I said before, lesson learned.

just got the TFH6002W in a 44 raw.

the top block and the sleeves should get some shrinkage, while the bottom part is already tight, but could maybe stretch through wear.

    any ideas, anyone, ... kiya?

i am considering soaking the whole jacket in 30 degrees vs. only the sleeves and maybe top block

    HOW TO SOAK?! (hehehe)

I had the exact same problem, but what I did was just soaked the hell out of it. Actually I did use washing machine. Now I've washed it few times and everytime it's still damp it put it on and gently stretch it where needed.

You could also soak it and after that VERY HOT soak the sleeves? :)

    EDIT: Very nice jacket btw!

  10. based on many of the fit pics in this thread, i'd say that the stitching blowing out is probably more as a result of buying 10 sizes too small than any deficiencies in the manufacture or washing process :P

10 sizes too small just looks better!

  11. ^^ Hear, hear haptronic!

One wash here or there don't mean nothing regarding the fading (except in my experience, unstarched denim fades faster). Long periods (or hard wear) beetween washes produces contrast fading.

And I think that with "shifting" Klue meant shifting of creases and such (due shrinking)? I always remember my first encounter with raw denim (not that I knew such existed)... :)

  12. maybe it's a sort of 'delayed-reaction' destruction where i'll be walking down the street one day and the jeans will just disintegrate around me and end up as a pile of ash on the side-walk......

It's possible! I saw it in some movie where they changed the polarization of the raygun used by those tripods in that end-of-the-world movie with Tom Cruise. Must be some scientologist shit? It would affect your other clothing as well...
