  1. Got the Sam hickory stripe workshirt.

Great shirt as it comes to material and details, 10oz selvage hickory stripe denim so it doesn't give you the cowboy look.

The sleeves run short, and actually the Samurai shirts run small in general, be sure to size up at least one from your normal size.

  2. These arrived in the mail yesterday:)

sorry the pictures aren't great- it's not very bright outside this morning

Those wingtips look great, and your Yamane's do too, great vintage fit.

Any chance of some more detailed shots of the jeans?

The Japanese cigar shell Aldens also make me drool, why is the most lovely stuff always only available in Japan :(

  4. With my new Japan Evisu Silver SelvageNo1SPECIALS, bought and painted the day before in Osaka, soaked in the bath that night, and chainstitched in Tokyp the following day:

Those are some very nice pickups, i love the bowling shoes (nice socks too ;) meant in a positive way)

Last few pages have been inspirational.

  5. To my knowledge, the Plaza last tends to run true to size. Definitely doesn't run wide. For some reason, going up half a size and dropping a width works best for me in the Plaza last, but I seem to be fairly unique in that regard.
I'd say amlai is right on this one...the plaza last seems to run pretty true to size...they dont feel narrow at all, in fact they are a perfect fit. I tested them out for supportability throughout a whole day of wear, and they held up well..no foot cramps or soreness..just great.

( i have these other oxfords that for some reason make my left foot cramp up after any more than 5 hours of wear...i need insoles for those.)

Thanks for the info, i have wide feet, and have a pair of Indy's in EEE-width, so i guess the plaza last in D will be a quite narrow for me and that i also need at least an E-width in the plaza last.

I hate it when shoes make my feet cramp up, whenever i have this re-occuring problem with a pair i find myself not wearing them ever again.

It mostly happens with shoes that i really like the look of

  6. just curious, are these legit? can't imagine why they would be going for so cheap. there's a ton of different sizes in this model from the same seller.

Don't know for sure, but the color looks off to me, could be due to lighting though.

Also the back off the crepe sole should be cut off totally vertical i think

  7. They sure look tight, but operationjake is right in that the 1001 denim DOES stretch a whole lot more than, say 3XXX denim where you might be a bit screwed...

I too can account for that, if you're looking for a tight fit on the 1001's they should fit you very tight right after the soak, the denim has enough stretch in them, even in the thigh area.

  8. you are very wrong

    better options for much less

    most times less is more

wiseguy, you neg rep for that... tssk

So if you're so enlightened i would have expected you to lay down some better options for him.

  9. Going to buy a D80

No kit lense is what I want

Something better is what I prefer

Get the Nikkor 18-200VR f3,5-f5,6 lens, you won't regret it, it's the perfect start lens because it's very allround.

You can buy some more specialized lenses later.

  10. Wow..we just cracked 280 participents...

Make sure to send a pm if you want to be in - you're only gonna be able to preorder if ur name is on the list...

Are you publishing the list of contenders right before the signing time is done, so people can check if they're on the list?

  11. I got the Domke F-6 today as a birthday gift from my gf.

Really great bag, comes pretty close to being perfect, easy access to all my stuff, and i love the canvas low profile look of it.

I could easily pack my DSLR (lens attached) along with 4 lenses and a flash in the main compartment.

  12. I agree that these are wearing in nicely. Looking at the toes, I was just wondering, do you keep shoe trees in them? (Would other people here keep boots like this tree-ed?) Keep up the good work!

Most leather boots and shoes keep their looks better when treed, but in the case of White's (and work boots in general) i have to admit i really like the curled-up-toe look.

They are the only boots where i don't use trees in, it gives them a more authentic look imo.
