Snugglepony: On the Take5 website there are some Samurai jeans called
"Samurai S0510XX66II 66 Cutting Jeans"
There's not much information on them, I'm just not familiar with the term "Cutting Jeans"
the cut of these samurais is based on the levi's 501 produced in 1966. LVC, sugarcane and others make a "'66 cut" reproduction, as does samurai. for some reason, i see a lot of translated japanese with the noun "cut" transformed into the present participle "cutting," just like in the "boot cut" --> "boots cutting" example i gave in my earlier post.
hope that helps.

This is probably a dumb question but...what the heck are "Cutting Jeans"?
Not sure what you're getting at here... What's the context in which you've heard this?
The only thing I can think of is the somewhat regular Japanese engrish mistranslation of "boot cut" into "boots cutting."

whaddya mean you think
I would have said Venetian Red with streaks of burnt umber, wheat, and coffee.
erm... i shoulda said,
"when i bought it from dude, i believe the color option i selected was "light brown;" it's now indigo stained and has developed a darker brown patina; its scent remains unchanged; the wallet currently enjoys long walks on the beach, relaxing with a glass of white grenache and a wyndham hill mix tape, and deep tongue kisses."
better?

probably only 4 months old at this point. definitely took some breaking in, but it's molded and a bit more flexible now. personally, i'd love a WS or LC wallet, but the bulk and price points are a little too much. this has a nice hand-made feel to it, isn't too spendy, and is a bit slimmer.

Snugglepony, can you post pics of the wallet, I was thinking of ordering one of those
Dick, did you have an LGC wallet? I take it you are not very impressed by it...?
sorry for the crap cell phone pictures. color is "light brown," i think:

can't link to better pictures because my work blocks "weapons" sites (jesus...), but i've carried a benchmade 690 for the last five or six years. here's an ebay listing:
it's a beautiful folder designed by allen elishewitz: rosewood and carbon scales, titanium frame/liner, and mine's numbered 27/1000 from the first production run... doubt i'll ever need another pocketknife!

just wanted to say that i've got an LGC working man's wallet (hand-stitched) and a harness leather belt (black, tooled) and i've been absolutely satisfied.

proper terminology is "grudge-fuck."
wrong. it's spite-fuck.

Is this Yoko Ono??
if you said that to his face, he'd probably laugh,
or get you really stoned,
or melt your face off with some spastic guitar work.

Don't where to put this so here will do.
I have an old G3 firewire powerbook that used as a back up, but I stored in it's box without removing the battery and six months later opened up to find it had imploded. I acknowledge it''s useless with a severely cracked case but:
• Is there anything the Apple store could do to salvage what was sat on the hard drive, or failing that a cheap way of reclaiming the data.
• Is it worth trying to flip it for whatever spare parts here are left in it.
Thanks in advance.
(makes mental note to check similarly stored G3 powerbook when next at home...)

OK, I'm a little confused now. A few you say Somet's Straights stretch up to one size in the waist, and some claim they don't stretch at all. Anyway, when I got a pair I went the smaller out of the two I consider... and now it's too fucking tight. I can button them up (with a little bit of effort) and wear them a whole day but they give me pain and marks. I reeeally need them to strech up to a size. Is it hopeless - should I just get another pair? Or keep wearing? Dip the waist in water and wear damp? Help!
I love them so much. They're beautiful. Don't wanna sell!
hi bonjin,
the somets are woven from a very fine slub yarn, and they're woven pretty tightly -- this means that they won't stretch out a whole lot. what heBAY says is right, though, and i think after a week or so of daily wear they'll form a bit more to your body.
