Both Kixslf and I use that Niagra shit and I have to admit...it smells like ass.

Please, if somebody knows of descent smelling starch...let me in on it. But don't tell Kixslf...he stinks anyways.

  2. Mmmm...Green.

    Shirt - Black Tee

Polo - AA (I know...I shop there wayy too much since they put one right on Campus)

Track Jacket - An old Billabong Jacket that I still really like

Jeans - Levi's 501xx STF...about two weeks in a some descent wear already

Shoes - Ugh, another pair of Dunks...picked these up for 39.98 at our local spot in Eugene.

    (They've Had em' forever)

  3. I did the same thing with a pair of inexpensive levi's STF's and haven't had any bleeding problem...and to my amazement, after a cold soak they neither lost a ton of indigo or their dry denim "shine".

Anyways, this does sound a bit peculiar. I wish I knew what to tell ya but I'd just be sure and be cautious...hopefully it all goes away after time.

  4. I'm gonna respond just because I feel like it...

I just use some generic spray starch from an aeresol can. It's like $3 just about anywhere. Spray it on while wearing your jeans and let dry on it's own (can be discomforting). Or you can blowdry like the guy above said.

You can also use liquid starch, I don't know tons about it but it would require you to soak your jeans in the tub...meaning you might lose a bit of indigo if I'm not mistaken. There you are...starching at its finest.

Two birds with one stone...we hit up all kinds of different places in Eugene...might as well snap a WDYW pic while we're at it.
  6. Yup, ya got yourself a pair of 501 Shrink to Fits...this means that they've never been washed...therefore, DRY denim. I'm actually wearing a pair right now and I love mine. I did a cold soak with them on in the tub...they didn't lose much of their dry denim "shine" nor did they lose much indigo to my surprise.

Anyways, they're a great pair of jeans to start your first so-called "dry denim project". i.e: wearing them everyday and letting them wear. Just remember not to wash them for several months and depending on how tight you wear them...they'll wear a little faster.

    Where do you live?

Your shoes are kind of scattered outside of your door...so I take it that it's not an apartment complex...and those stairs make wherever it is that you live appear to have quite a few floors.

  8. Definitely a bit TOO HYPED. But there's not a whole lot you can do. I just kinda started copping (sorry for the NT lingo) some of the other stuff like the SB Tennis Classics, Vandals, etc.

Although I did pick up a pair of the Dunk Hi SB Black/Midnight Fog today at our local shop for 59.99...he'd had em' in the back FOREVER.

    Dunks are not dead...no Sir.

  9. Another Day, Another WDYW Post.

Jacket - North Face Apex Softshell

    Thermal - AA

    White Polo - AA

Jeans - Edwin Yoshi SX Selvedge

    Shoes - Dunk SB Black/Fog High's

*Yes, I'm beginning to realize that I've had dunks on in every single WDYW post to date...I think. Anyways, be advised that I DO have other shoes. Just kinda went on a dunk shopping spree as of late.

  10. I think you're getting a better product with SugarCane. I too am looking into purchasing a pair of '47's.

When I compare both companies...I see a denim company supremely devoted to producing a quality product (Sugarcane) and a corporate conglomerate that might be producing a higher quality product with their LVC line...but isn't necessarily putting as much effort into it.

    Sugarcanes > Levi's.

    Just a thought.
