I'm sorry but wtf is that?
How soon did you wash those?4 months/10chars
do you ever wear them?they look like Kirkland Jeans, fresh off the table at costco

If you were considering the Cherry GTs, I would tell you to get those. The leather is unique, incredible. But in black, they aren't quite as stunning.

Could anyone advice me a pair of slim boots similar to these but with a student friendly price? Anything near the $ 350 will do =).

would you guys approve something like this be worn with a single button black tie affair?
What's a single-button black tie affair?
Is that a tux?
Is your suit/tux black?
Under either of these scenarios, you should not really wear cordovan, double sole, or even a blucher, which each of these are. It's like a triple-negative. You could still probably get away with it, but you are asking what is appropriate, and none of these are.
You should wear a black leather closed-lace (oxford) shoe. If you are trying to buy something which you can use often in the future, a plain black captoe oxford (not a blucher) will serve you well. You can probably also do a punch cap, or a wingtip. But still black, still oxford.
If by single button black tie you mean a moddy slim trend suit, then you could probably wear whatever you want. Still, sleek dress shoes are gonna work better than bomb-proof cordovan boots.

I saw these in person at Gimme Shoes, the bottom one in suede. They look good, they look like GTs with different details. The shape is the same.

you've worn through 4-5 APCs? sound like they suck. Also you spent $600 on 4 pairs of jeans because you thought you were saving money.
if under $200 is your only criteria, I would say LVC are better

I don't think calf Aldens retail above $400 unless they have hand-stitch work (ie NST)

if they were your size and you won them would you wear? for me i think id at least try em on before i display.
I wouldn't, personally.
There are plenty of lesser deadstock levi's to wear, you could buy a pair for $500 or $1000 or $2000. I just couldn't wear $36,000 museum pieces. It would be messing with history.
Levi's experts - is this top 10 known Levi's of all time? Top 5?

I called the Red Wings store in Hackensack, NJ a few times. They said they didn't stock any moc-toe boots. Being in a mall, they might be specializing in the fashion-style models that RW thought could revitalize the company....
Their prices depend on the model. The cheapest US source I know of is Sherman Brothers. I ordered Gentleman Travelers for $216 shipped.

alright, fess up. who's vintageboy1?
You can see his purchase history. All he has purchased is a bunch of vintage Red Wings and Lee slacks under $100. And yet he bought these for $36K???

hmm I wonder how many mine-found pairs of Levi's have been just tossed in the trash?

I like how he just threw em on the dirt and took some pics.

Pretty. I like that rivet. Subtle but unique.
This is the type of boot I am looking for, Redwing GT design but made to White's quality standards. Is there a price on the site?

Damn. Dust those things off at least!

Woah, that tongue is pretty cool. None of my Aldens have this on the inner-lining. You wouldn't see it on the shell Indy boots because they line the tongues as well, hiding the backside of the shell.
It's not the tongues that are stamped, it is the full hides themselves. Whether you see the stamp on the tongue is pretty much by chance.

I have this on ebay right now (auction starting at 275) but I would sell it to any reputable sufuer for $290 shipped, provided you can pay by Google checkout. Paypal would be $300 shipped. I need milk money. It is size "8-5" UK but I find it fits exactly like a 9.5D US.

Net income fell from $46m to $1m.
This is one of the most pathetic sales statistics I have ever heard of from a large well-known company.

The design is awesome, but the leather looks a little one-dimensional. Have you worn these in yet?

If you want to still be able to see the cleat, there isn't really much you can do. Maybe you can look for a "clear" topy but I have never heard of that, and it sounds extremely lame to go to such lengths. If you like the cleat, just keep it raw, if you are afraid of injuring yourself, get a topy.
