MERZ B. SCHWANEN SUMMER COLLECTION - DELIVERY 1 Merz b. Schwanen's first delivery of their summer collection is here. POTEN SPRING COLLECTION OF JAPANESE BASEBALL CAPS Poten’s new spring collection is here! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This season we see Poten doing their caps in a new gray heavy nylon, a black vintage hopsack fabric, and an adjustable cap in black denim . These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Every cap style has a super soft and supple inner leather headband which has been lightly treated so it’s not destroyed by sweat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. DEVOA SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION Devoa's new spring/summer line has hit all six of our stores. This is a feature-rich line which requires some serious attention, as each season we're presented with a collection pushing the boundaries of textiles and patterns. This season we see Devoa doing some beautiful heavyweight black denim jeans, cotton/silk/linen blend knit t-shirts, half sleeve shirts made of a high-density cotton yarn, Faliero Sarti milled canapa fiber pants, and striped sun-dried Shizuoka cotton cropped pants. NEW ARRIVALS FROM PURE BLUE JAPAN Leave it to Pure Blue Japan to create a beautiful new 100% heavy duck cloth fabric. These feel great, are super comfortable, and there's a good amount of depth in the fabric weave to keep them as interesting as your favorite jeans. Available now in olive and khaki in PBJ’s popular straight tapered fit. We also have new PBJ flannels, made of a custom blend of multi-colored yarns, twisted together to create a very unique tweed-like appearance out of a soft flannel fabric. With the fabric matched cloth covered buttons being a very nice extra touch. Lastly we've got a new fabric for those wanting PBJ's signature selvedge denim they're known for but in a lighter shade of indigo. These “Smoky Blue” jeans have a very unique shade and feel, even for Pure Blue Japan, which is saying a lot. RICK OWENS SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION The Rick Owens spring/summer collection has landed at all stores this week. We've got their one-size-fits all Walrus t-shirt in a washed Dark Dust jersey and Bauhaus shorts in washed Dark Dust cotton canvas, which is a real highlight for our summer fits. Out of the countless styles of shorts produced every season by Rick Owens the Bauhaus model is our personal favorite. Super functional, a great versatile fit, very comfortable, and built like a tank. This new version is made of a Dark Dust 100% cotton canvas and finished with heavy duty polished zippers and an elastic waist. We've also received Vintage Sneaks in black cotton canvas, high-top Ramones in two colors of 13oz overdyed denim, and a pair of low-top Ramones in all black coated heavy denim which go very hard. BONCOURA BLACK PAINTER PANTS & INDIGO TYPE II JACKETS Boncoura’s 15oz black denim Painter Pants and indigo denim Type II jackets have landed at all stores. A true icon of American workwear, painter's pants have been reimagined through Boncoura's lens. Originally designed for painters, carpenters, and craftsmen, these pants were built for practicality and durability. While staying true to their workwear heritage, Boncoura has refined the silhouette and materials with a contemporary approach. The fabric is woven using Boncoura's original cotton denim, meticulously developed from the selection of raw cotton, fiber blend, and spinning techniques. Woven on Boncoura's special-spec vintage shuttle looms, it boasts a 15oz weight, giving it a rugged texture that contrasts with the lighter ounce vintage painter pants. This robust construction ensures a unique patina and character that will develop beautifully over time. For this black denim Boncoura has applied a rope-dyeing technique, setting it apart from conventional vintage black denim, which is typically dyed to the core. With traditional "piece-dyed" black denim, fading is minimal, but BONCOURA’s approach maintains a white core, allowing for a fading process similar to classic indigo denim. Over time, the fabric reveals a striking contrast, creating a distinct aged effect. Boncoura's exclusive dye formulation gives the fabric a rich, deep black with a nuanced depth that evolves beautifully with wear. We also have a reinterpretation of the iconic 1950s type II American denim jacket. On vintage type II jackets, underarm gussets were typically found only on larger sizes. Inspired by this historical detail, Boncoura has incorporated it into all sizes of this jacket. The fabric is made from Boncoura’s proprietary "Ikemen" denim, the same as used in the 66 and XX jean models. No plans for Whitesville to make their tees in larger sizes. Merz does not produce their loopwheeled tees up to 3XL, they may produce some of the Portuguese made tees that big, but we really only stock their Germany made loopwheeled and circular knit tees. Starting FW25 we'll have their non-loop wheeled (But circular knit) tees up to XXXL in black and white.

STUDIO D'ARTISAN EXTREME & NATURAL INDIGO DENIM JEANS EXTREME DENIM ALERT ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Studio D’Artisan has been killing it lately on every front. Their fabric development has reached new heights these past few seasons. Really great to see a line pushing like this after being around for 46 years. This week we’ve received these new Kakishibu denim jeans made of a 16oz mixed slub yarn denim with a persimmon dyed warp and natural weft. Truly beautiful denim from these Japanese natural dye specialists. These come in a straight leg fit and come factory rinsed for easier sizing. We also have natural indigo dyed jeans this week. Studio D'Artisan knows their way around the finer details of working with natural indigo, so it's no surprise that their new SD-808 jean is made of such a beautiful fabric. This new denim is slightly hairy when new, has a light slub character due to the medium staple cotton used, and has been rope-dyed meaning it will age in a slightly more dramatic way compared to many other natural indigo dyed denim fabrics. NEFF GOLDSMITH RESTOCK - STRANGE & INTERESTING JEWELRY We've just received a very large restock of Neff Goldsmith's entire line of sterling silver and gold jewelry. We absolutely love jewelry and have slowly expanded our jewelry selection at our stores over the past couple of years. Neff Goldsmith is a jewelry line made by an extremely talented jeweler and maser setter by the name of Chris Neff. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Chris' inspirations come from his deep understanding of the heritage of jewelry and vintage silversmithing. All pieces are made in-house at his own foundry out of sterling silver with many pieces having 18k yellow gold accents. DEVOA COWHIDE SNEAKERS & HIGH-TWIST YARN SWEATERS Devoa’s new DIVINATION sneakers are here and they look and feel super nice. These are made of a top-grain cowhide which has been aniline dyed and the sneakers are finished with a vulcanized Vibram sawtooth sole and a fine-knit shaft opening. We've also received their TIMEBOX sweaters. These are made by a custom developed knit by Devoa’s head designer, Daisuke Nishida, and finished with hand stitched accents. WERKSTATT MÜNCHEN SPRING COLLECTION Werkstatt München’s new spring collection is here! We’re happy to announce we’ve received our second collection from Germany’s Werkstatt München. This is a line we’ve been quite familiar with for twenty years, introduced at our stores last year, and are excited to expand our offerings from them this season. The collection is produced in Werkstatt’s own studio in Munich Germany out of .925 sterling silver, complete with in-house designed and produced clasps. We have new Squeezed Link necklaces, Long Link Curb Chain bracelets, Hammered Signet rings, and a really nice Hammered Wound ring. NEW SAMURAI JEANS, CHINOS, AND BAKER PANTS We've just received the new Samurai S3100VX jean in a relaxed straight fit from the World War II era, made of their famed 17oz Zero+ denim. The silhouette is a new one based on their WWII model S3000VX, with a slightly longer rise and a slightly wider top block. The buttons are newly created to mimic the color of "shakudo" metal with a well-worn black finish, which has been used for weapons and ornaments in Japan since ancient times. As the buttons age over time the luster settles and a beautiful patina starts to appear, and the pocket bags are made of 8 oz. slub yarn denim which is heavier duty compared to conventional pocket bag materials. NEW STEVENSON OVERALL CO. COLLECTION A new collection from Stevenson Overall Co. is here. First up, their Absolutely Amazing merino wool thermal shirts are back, available in new colors, and now available up to size XXXL! Anyone who's been following Self Edge for a while knows that this is one of the top ten things we've ever carried, and we have Stevenson Overall make them for us every year or two in new colors. These are made of a Japanese spun certified mulesing-free fine merino wool, they’re extremely soft and can be worn in both cold and somewhat warm climates due to the natural temperature regulating properties of merino wool. We also have crew neck sweaters featuring a vivid Nordic pattern, combining a chunky texture with a versatile silhouette. The wool used is spun to be lightweight and air-filled, aka Lofty High-Loft Wool, providing high insulation. Each strand has an air layer, offering both warmth and a unique, vibrant texture. With the Maverick jacket SOC have reimagined the third generation of the denim jacket; this unique design features front pleats for mobility and flap pockets. The front yoke line forms a subtle V-shape toward the center and is complemented by the shape of the pockets. SUGAR CANE NEP DENIM COLLECTION & MORE Nep denim jeans and jackets from Sugar Cane have landed. Made of a Sugar Cane original 13.7oz. indigo neppy denim featuring a warp yarn of rope-dyed indigo and a weft yarn of grey with colored nep. The jeans feature double knees only at the knee area and have some interesting tool pockets attached to both legs. The jacket features pre-war changeable buttons, a 3-in-1 pocket on the left chest, and adjustable cuffs. Sugar Cane’s Okinawa and Hawaii jeans are finally back in stock. The mill producing this denim had some issues running the fabric last year so no retailer had this model in stock for well over a year. They’re finally back, but Sugar Cane has stated going forward they will not be available year round and will only be produced once a year.
