They are sanforized. I am not sure if the women's jeans are selvage but the unisex and men's jeans are. I would assume the women's jeans are too, because they are the same price. And Ringring already touched on this but I'll add that they are VERY plain. It's part of the appeal of APC... it's more minimalist than Helmut Lang, if that's believable.

It's perfectly fine to lose weight and be too small for your jeans, but when I saw that they are sz 28 I was about to puke with disgust! Then I realized they are girl jeans. Still, how much smaller can you get than 28 without disappearing into thin air? Go anorexia!

I beg to differ. Paying for European or Asian goods will cost you a lot more because the dollar is sucking every other currency's dick right now. The Japanese yen is now 94 to the USD, and the dollar is 1.83 to the British pound. I would call the NYC store and make an order if possible (not sure if you can, not really a stussy fan), because it's going to be cheaper to buy from a store inside the country.

I would actually disagree with poly800rock about ordering a size up in A.P.C. but it may be different for different ranges of sizes. I can comfortably wear a 29 in APC whilst Levis seem a little tight (unless I pull them all the way up to my natural waist). I think your best bet is to order your own size, I have washed my A.P.C.s 5 or 6 times to try and get some dye out, and they are about 30.5" across the waist right now (size 30).
I love Helmut Lang jeans, but I would actually go with APC. The Unisex jeans are a great fit, not tight per se but also not baggy. They look much more casual and relaxed, where as the HL jeans look very fashiony. It's your decision, but that would be my answer towards a recommendation.
The Anglaise cut jeans are a great cut but are pretty baggy. I prefer a slim looking jean and the unisexes are just that. Both cuts come in unwashed denim. I think many members of this board prefer the baggier look, but with the APCs it will still give you a nice straight and balanced sillhouette, even with the full cut. The rise is medium on the unisexes (lower then 501s by a good margin, higher than Diesel Zathan, not sure about Kratt), it's been awhile since I've tried on the Anglaise so I cant really remember that rise.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip . I probably wont go for it - all my jeans need to be slim / fitted.

How do the 1947 Levis repros fit? I was thinking of buyig a pair but they are quite expensive and don't want to drop the money on em if it's not a good fit.

I have several pairs of Helmut Lang jeans, and all of them have a clean and pretty selvage outseam.
The cuts are very very slim, so do not buy a size down. It will be tight on your butt. They are for skinny guys with straight hips, and anyone else wearing them will look quite awful. A Classic Fit means tapered, and a boot leg means straight. The inseams are shorter than your usual 34" PDC, Sevens, etc... Mine do not have inseams designated on the size tags, and all measure about 32".
They are also very expensive, but styling does not change much season to season, so check YOOX and eBay for good deals on them.

It's funny that everyone's getting into an argument about women's tees, but it doesn't matter if their women's or men's tees. It's the fact that simply saying "I don't like it" gets 100 people down your throat calling you sexist because the line is designed by women.

You guys are absolutely insane. I can't believe how much you know about denim.

Are they from a designer collab?

My Pal, what is the size that she is cutting for? I was thinking of rocking the BBW for wrangler tweed sports jacket but I have a very slim frame and very tapered jackets look best on me. I don't have any other BBW stuff to compare.

I'm with you there 100%. Also, someone here recommended spraying scotchgard on your jeans to keep them crisp. Can you verify this method?

Vaja makes made-to-order high quality iPod leather cases. They are nice and slim so they still fit in your pocket, and are the nicest looking cases I've ever seen (honestly, the Dior Homme case really isn't that cool). For the most protection, contour designs makes a harder plastic case with a belt clip. For the gym, go to your Apple store and get a run of the mill 3rd party arm-strap vinyl case.
I would not recommend leaving it naked. I took mine directly from box to case and it has remained in perfect condition since day one. I am very happy with that decision. I can't stand to see the screen all scratched up. The back of the iPod can be buffed out, so keep that in mind.

I had APC jeans before I discovered this website while searching for information on selvedge denim. Everyone else here seems to like them, which is understandable, as the cuts are great, and they are in the perfect price range, at just over $100. Also, not every frat boy jack ass is wearing them like they're wearing Sevens and A&F.
On you previously posting the process (alliteration, anyone?) about rubbing sandpaper - that was actually directed towards me in response to a comment I made about wishing to speed up the denim wear. I'm going to let them do their own thing sans sand paper. I should be able to wear them in somewhat quickly because I play racquetball every day, and I can just wear my jeans to the games. The knees are worn slightly, as well as slashes on the thighs, and ever so slight whiskering around the crotch and pockets. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a couple months. I'm going to take your project to heart and start taking pictures of my jeans once a week or so.

Ring,
I am wearing in a pair of A.P.C.'s (unisex) and unfortunately some toothpaste fell on them while I was brushing my teeth, and I had to wash them to get it out. Now they are soft (which I like), and slightly "hairy," and I had only worn them two or three weeks before I just washed them, so there is minimal fading on them. I would love to have my jeans come out like those beautiful Nudies. Have I failed the experiment, or can I give it another go, wear them in for a couple months and the wear will show? Your advice (or anyone else's) is appreciated.

You guys sure have your opinions here. I have found American Apparel to fit perfectly for me, so I'll stick with it, but I also want to check out some Supreme shirts.

Because the designs are great. I always consider that the most important part. I have found the prints to be pretty good quality, and American Apparel is hard to beat as well. Hell, that's less than half the price of a Bape t-shirt.

Im not making a plug here, but Yoko Devereaux makes a damn fine T-Shirt, for $48. www.yokod.com.
In any case, well put CL. I dont know much / anything about BAPE but your post seems the most logical so far.

john, may I ask why you are looking for an ad in a San Diego only magazine? I am trying to reason why you would not want to advertise in the CityBeat.
