  1. earlier this week. Rick Owens copying Oakley, Helmut Lang copying Fred Perry from 1997 I think and Helmut copying Levi’s from the 00’s as well, but the wescos are real. Been recovering from surgery this summer and have only been fading a lovely pair of black warp/grey weft drkshdw jeans… I’ll have to make a post in Unknown Non-Japanese Brands when I get around to taking pics
  2. Finely crafted, make me feel comfortable and like myself, the longer I spend with them the more I fall in love....
  3. Missing posters for a pair of Big E 517's and a pair of suede Red Wing Pecos from Japanese magazine Huge, 2004 (...Can anyone date those levi's from detail pictures alone? lol)
  4. if only they still had the ueki's tab... one of my favorites ever!!
  5. after four months of working on and off I finally finished patching the elbow of this waxed drkshdw overshirt
  6. I'm glad this guy is still around! I remembered he used to sell on etsy.
  7. Do you guys have any recommendations for replacement silver tone rivet buttons? Or just what you do when a pair of jeans/a jacket loses a button? A beloved type 1 of mine lost one of its cuff buttons long ago and I replaced it with a cheapo amazon button at the time, but now I wonder if I could even take this as an opportunity to replace that with something nicer...
  8. Wanting to get some practice reading Japanese, I googled T backs and here's Yutaka Bushihara, Mr. Berberjin himself, showing off his collection in GQ Japan....
  9. I have had these jeans in my mind since you first posted them... too bad these old repros are never in a size 34, much less 36...! Happy to see some news about Gardner as well, I think those jeans have my favorite red tab ever....
  10. even though I know the issue is a broken power cable, first the technician has to come today to confirm that, then they have to get the replacement approved by insurance, then it has to be ordered and shipped, then the technician has to come back and replace the part. All of which could take weeks at each step, and the people in charge of fixing it seem to have little urgency to do so. getting a backup has done wonders for my mental health, and I'm making the best of it, but it is quite frustrating and unfair. thank you!
  11. deadstock Helmut Lang brown type 3 from 25 years ago, OG-107, Carpe Diem would have showed this off sooner if my regular chair hadn’t broken down. Only just got a backup manual chair to be able to get out of bed. Waiting on bureaucracy to replace a power cable….
  12. freewheelers + iron heart + og 107 + funny shoe
  13. no, 2017 reissues, but I bought them used. I think my other four pairs are original run though.
  14. flat head + two moon + jelado + Carpe Diem bonus: Warhol’s Pink Electric Chair Disaster pinned on the back of this yacket
  15. thanks for the tip, hoping I can add these to my collection of "fake" Levi's
  16. helleaux! I thought I should introduce myself now that I've finally joined. I think I've been lurking since 2021 (!) but in late 2022 suffered a stroke which paralyzed me. however, I've been working to recover ever since, and this year started wearing my old clothes again. can't really work on fading jeans right now (I like pre-lawsuit "fake" levi's repros with the arcs) but I also love jackets so I'm committed to this t-back FW 46-47 for now. the rest is very old polo.
  17. so I was curious about this because all these listings use the same pic of a guy in a mask wearing this jacket, so searching the image brings up this IG post: https://www.instagram.com/takuya.kimura_tak/p/CeTgrw8rPPD/ Takuya Kimura is a famous JPN actor/member of boyband SMAP. This post is from 2022 though. So maybe both brands are copies of CSF/CSF-esque denim pieces made by the same factory to sell online to SMAP fans who want to dress like Kimura...? https://www.instagram.com/takuya.kimura_tak/p/C0qP6JwLmhf/ he seems to wear CSF-adjacent stuff enough that the listings are using his pics. but idk if they're just copying a scf/sc he wore because I found this: https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/t1155552342?conversionType=YahooAuction_DirectSearch which is a non-wonky 507 also made by muramasa and commanding bids. there are bidding wars for most of these muramasa/kiwami pieces so there must be some larger demand beyond SMAP fans. the 507 patch says "East Osaka City, Osaka" so maybe it's just an osaka shop/factory that has no internet presence outside JPN circles but with enough domestic reach for a celebrity to wear it....
