Agreed—I emailed Ryo to see whether they're cut the same as the regular '50s; if they are, I'll take a 34 and the waist'll stretch, but 4" is really a lot of stretch

Not a lot for tcb perhaps. My size 33 contest jeans now measure just shy of 44 cm laid flat, stretching from 37 cm after a wash. That's about 5,5 inches almost only from wear. (Mind that I did manually stretch them to about 40 cm while still wet.) If they are anything close to these the waist will stretch like nothing!

I really would like to get these pants myself so keep us posted about what you find out!

Just got my shipping info for a new pair, size 33.  I've never second guessed sizing this much. The 33 matches my TCB '50s and Warehouse 700s most closely and that's the fit I'm going for. If they're bigger than the chart, I will be super bummed. If they match and stretch obscenely, I'll just wear a belt and call it a day. In fact, I bought a Studio D'Artisan belt just for this new pair.

Everyone's pics and participation have been great so far. Keep it up and I look forward to joining you shortly!

They will absolutely stretch obscenely! :P

  3. When it comes to stretch these are just extreme. I now wear a belt with them to not have them baggy to much. They have went from 37 (!) cm in wet state after a 50 c wash. I then manually stretched them before hanging them outside to dry. I'm sure they would have shrinked a little bit more if dried hot. Now they measure almost 44 cm, and if i stretch some more. In other words they stretched 14 cm (5,5") with not to much wear!20200917_201521.thumb.jpg.d3dbd7fcc742b225e252ee4eca885bef.jpg

I also made some amateur button hole repair when the thread suddenly came loose. Not anything fancy, but that will do for a while!20200917_201600.thumb.jpg.08be59d82c42a169b94cadce94bea746.jpg

  4. Just noticed that my pair (post another wash) measured exactly what Second Sunrise has for the TCB Norma jeans in size 28, in every dimension they show.

My pair is size 33. Lol.

This might be an explanation to why these pants seems to fit women so good?

I'm glad that they stretch like crazy though, waist from 37 to 42 cm in one day.

Day 2 - very relieved the jeans fit fine :)

Has anyone noticed how small the back pockets are? Must be (?) partly the wider wonkier good-looking stitching shape that's a feature of the WW2's. But also the overall pockets are smaller than many I reckon - I really like it  - smaller pockets on jeans look far nicer to me.

Some peoples may have to switch wallets tho (or other back pocket detritus...)

Yeah, i noticed that. And like you, I like them a lot! The stitching looks really good ^_^

  6. Here's a really bad fit pic. They fit nice! I am sure they will after the wash as well. ^_^

Right now they are drying from a hot wash. They definitely have a bit more shrink from OW. But as stated the waist have a lot of give. I pulled it a bit when wet and got a lot of stretch! But now way these 88,9 cm raw.

Interestingly my pair, 33OW, measured smaller in every dimension compared@propellerbeanies size 32OW. I actually changed my ordered and sized up from 32OW lol.

Anyone else having a lot these strays on the selvedge? It's more than on any other pair I've had before. Love the detail!

  7. #19 checking in! I like my pockets but have the same issue as everyone else with the waist coming in at 75 cm (37,5 x2) instead of 83,5 is giving me some trouble.. and I already sized up! The fit actually work really well though, exept for the top button. So I might just skip that one until I adjust my waist measurement accordingly (much needed:))
