  1. Does anyone have any clothing from attractions?  If so, any strong opinions? And if positive, is their any dealers in Japan that ship to the USA?!!

I have my eye on their black salt and pepper chinos. They seem real nice.

  2. @Jared_Lee You make the clothes look effortless to wear. Everything in the upcoming season looked excellent. And although I have no personal interest in pre-distressed denim, i can’t say I’ve seen the process done better.

Let me ask you a question. How did it feel to wear the monks work coat? I have been hoping that one of the great brands would give a strong nod and make something distinctly Japanese, but with the American flair they do so well. It would appear that this jacket would fit the bill.

I only wonder if I would be able to pull this look off, while at the same time not feeling self conscious wearing it. This usually means I already really know the answer as to whether it would be a good idea to gamble. And that am most likely being foolish to even try. But… It looks so cool!

Anyways, any impressions you may have would be appreciated.

here’s my vat-dyed chambray that i wear to work for pretty much every shift. i work as a barista and i’m looking forward to seeing how the bottom half of the shirt ages much more rapidly the the top half.

Your shirt is looking great. I think I’ll go for one of these when they restock.

I’ve been very happy with my Sugar Cane shirts, one of their patterns has longer sleeves which fit me well, and more room in the shoulders that I’ve found with Warehouse. And the value is always impressive.

Can anyone identify this jacket? A friend was going through their grandpas old stuff and found it. Lived in SF. Her grandma says it's from the 20s but I doubt that. I'm just not an authority on truly vintage wares. The way the pockets are attached almost looks like some fast-fashion brand.

What a great find. So much character. The owner must have been quite the sight because those are some serious tan lines. Beautiful.

  5. I’ve been told this Warehouse flannel is one washed from the factory. It fits tight across the shoulders, most notably when I outstretch my arms.

Can anyone with experience advise me if I can expect any additional shrinking with washing? Or (hopefully) the possibility of a bit of stretch with wear? I’m trying to determine if I should keep or sell.

    Thanks.

No one’s going to think I’m wearing fancy jeans if they recognize them as Levi’s.

This is a good point. I, too, don’t need or really even want to draw attention to my clothes. The double arcs do stand out. I’m about to start wearing a pair of Warehouse buckle backs and plan on keeping the arcs original. I’ll report back if people notice the stitching and talk to me about it.

  7. My vote is for original. Two reasons.
    1) I like the way the double arcuates look.
    2) they are not Levi’s, so why try to make them appear so?

and reason three, because I struggle with counting-

3)the double arcs signify warehouse, which in my opinion is worthy of displaying to those audacious enough to check out my backside.

not exactly Duke levels of decoration but kinda cool IMO, all handsewn, played around with roughout and smooth sides of a few cuts I had laying around.

How about a few detail photos?  Cool belt ideas, there.

  9. @MJF9

Here are some more photos. Anything particular you want to see?

Some thoughts on this model, of which I also have another pair that I’ve put about a years worth of wear. I’ll dig that pair out at some point to photograph and show the aging.

At the time, 1998, the Antique Boutique in Manhattan had a good selection of Levi’s reissues.  Studying the details of this model, which were explained in a supplemental  book tucked into the back pocket, made me  very excited.  The back cinch was so different and fresh, it just seemed so cool.  The extra rivet at the crotch, to my eyes made this model extremely distinctive. And the arcuates?  Wow, still my all time favorite.  To my eyes, this pair of 201’s (anyone know the story of this?) looked so distinctive that I am still surprised that no one has ever commented on them, or any of the many cinchback pairs I’ve worn.

In terms of fit, they are quite comfortable and are a flattering cut. They are not a perfect reproduction, but I consider them to be in the authentic Levi’s lineage. A fantastic pair, made in the San Francisco Valencia factory. I will never wear this pair, because it represents something ethereal that is gone forever, never to return. It really broke my heart when LVC severed its historical connection  to the Valencia heritage and I’ve never bought another pair.  Thankfully there are so many other superb options being made.
