Also on a separate point it seems like drops will be smaller and monthly from now on, I saw a EH comment reproduced on the Fb forum.

He tweeted this as well but im pretty sure thats just his plan for SS18. In the fall when he stocks at brick and mortar shops I don't see how he would be able to do a slow roll out like this.

  3. both my dyadic comp pants and fields have a good range of movement and comfort (i sized up on both). but my god my current season voronois are AWFUL. i have pretty big legs and am usually a 33 waist but i’ve been going with 34 and on my voronois i can’t even reach into the pockets they’re so tight up top. obviously acr is gonna allow for more movement because they don’t orient themselves to a more professional look but some models from veilance are much more forgiving than others.

Some thoughts on the Field pant:

The Field pant is easily the most constricting pair of pants I own in terms of ease of movement. I don't know if that says more about my collection of pants (which consist mainly of Acronym and super wide fitting denim and fatigue pants) or the cut of the Field pants. Allthough it is stated on Veilance page that the cut is articulated, this can't be to a major extent. There aren't any visible seems that point to articulation in the knees that I can find, for example.

very interesting. how did you size? i went +1 from my TTS and they are probably one of the most comfortable pants i own. the windstopper (to me) is far more conducive to movement than a lot of the other items in my wardrobe.

i mostly agree about the pockets even with a looser fit. i haven’t had issues utilizing the organizer pocket inside and that fits very comfortably. the main pocket I usually just use in a pinch.

I agree about the warmth. i think the thought process was similar to not giving the monitor lined pockets. they make it slightly less optimized to winter to allow for more wear in warmer weather. just a theory though.

I never use the zippers on my LF1s

for real? i don’t think i’ve touched the laces since i’ve gotten them. it’s just so much easier to zip in and out. why do you not use it?

Oh, by the way, I have it on good authority that Conroy is 100% back and working on new stuff with the team, not just consulting (though he may technically still be on contract). As in, he's working directly on designs. This brings joy to my heart.

    big if true

if anyone is after a veilance arris and spied this one on ebay, avoid it's a fake, a shoddy one at that.

wow that’s absurd. i’ve owned an arris in that color and that is such an obvious fake it’s almost shocking. i hate that fakes of veilance are hitting the market but i guess it’s just the culture :(

Anyone else here have the dyadic comp pants and wouldn't mind posting fit pics and comment sizing?

just got my pair today and plan on getting some photos tomorrow. sizing is pretty much a mandatory size up. they run very slim and considering the almost lounge-esque nature of them (material wise) you could even go up 2 sizes for a very relaxed fit. they also have snap adjustments on the waist which is good because they’re foregoing belt loops on this model.

overall this is probably my second favorite pair of veilance pants i have owned which for reference is

voronoi ar <<< apparat <<< voronoi <<< dyadic comp <<< field pant

    edit: wait i found a pic but it doesn’t do much justice. i’m 6’3” and usually a 33 but got a 34

another edit hah: just got an outfit pic and you can check that here

also got this nice detail shot of the organized cargo pocket which fits my veilance card holder and iphone 7 very nicely.

Anyone has experience with the new partition jacket? Same gortex material? The removal hood seems like a good feat.

had some in-store experience. its c-knit gore-tex so it feels like the conduct or arris material wise. although the removable hood is nice, i dont love the collar personally and would rather pay a bit more to get the monitor coat because i like the look and feel more. also despite not being a gore-snob i do think the $200 difference for gore-tex pro is worth it.

And he said it with such conviction as well. Last year was Feb 1st as well iirc.

hah! yea my mistake. i had heard it was going to be towards the middle but was wrong! it’s up now. my mistake

I'm not sure. I am a fairly large guy, 6'1", 90kg, athletic build. My tts is a 34 and with Voronois I have no real issue with the thighs being too tight and I usually have trouble finding pants that aren't restrictive through the thigh and backside.

this seasons voronois? wow thats wild. im 6'3" and a little under 85kg and i sized up to a 34 and they're really restrictive :(((

I see your point, @1i1i1ii1. I think our proportions (is it called like this in English?) are quite different. So for example when I look at your last Instagram pic I’d say that this is the same fit I have on my field pants going tts. In general, when I look at your pictures, we got quite the same pants but they create a very different look on me. E.g. my Voronoi is size 33 and is perfectly sized on the hip (means I wouldn’t need to put on a belt necessarily), it’s ultra baggy at the tights (and I mean really baggy!) and rather normal on the calfs while on you it looks quite close to a Voronoi on the Veilance homepage. Which mine isn’t at all

    ...maybe I just got a fat a** :-/

ahhh yes very true! veilance (particularly this new season) has been tricky to size for me because it’s more restrictive in the thighs and seat. i wear a 33 (and have room) in last year’s voronois and ARs but now i’m always going up to 34 (granted i may just be getting fat) but for people who are slimmer/ not as tall you may be right to go tts. i also think a few pages back people were posting pics of them in their field pants and giving measurements but to size off of.

thinking of picking up the veilance field trousers; is the general consensus is to size up one, do they fit quite slim?

I sized up and would recommend it. i know kevin also sized up 1. granted it does allow for a slightly baggier fit and because of my height i don't need to deal with the stacking kevin seems to. @bouncingsoul is right though you can always return if theres an issue.

Looks good, how are the cargo's with medium-large objects (i.e. standard bi-fold wallet)?  I have last spring's Aligns, and since they are so slim fitting in the thigh I end up sitting on whatever is in the side pockets and it gets even tighter.  I did go TTS with them though, so maybe sizing up one is the key for more capacity with this style of cargo.

pockets seem to be about the same size as the apparat or align. i have found that sizing up is always the way to go with veilance these days. i went tts for my voronoi's last fall and thats the only pant where i haven't regretted it (ARs too small, sized up for field).
