my brother that’s still in stock on the mothersite

extended thoughts on the Conduit LT after some use out in the world. pros - man this thing is warm. i’m super impressed with how well the conduit holds heat. currently standing outside in 33F (~0-1c) weather and am comfortable (granted i am also wearing fire windstopper pants). layered up with the beta ar got me through yesterday’s 16F degree weather with ease. It’s weight also makes transport and indoor wear simple. the conduit is breathable but not as ideal for continued indoor/55F+ weather as an overshirt or sweater. cons- no internal pockets this has been a real annoyance especially when i don’t want to carry my 3a-1 around or am inside and just want to have chapstick or similar on me comfortablely. obviously this will also suffer from the same drawbacks as other down jackets i.e. shit in rain and occasional leakage (although that has yet to occur for me). overall what i thought would be a throwaway piece from the season had quickly become a favorite of mine and i hope to get the vest as well.

slightly more generous than the voronoi or indisce but not enough to change sizes on them. the double weave is quite stretchy and comfortable. most similar to the fabric used on the mainline “gamma”. it won’t be as good at handling the cold as a gore-windstopper pant but will be better than a cotton or terratex pant.

two similar fits with different parts of the veilance patrol down 2 in 1
  6. arcteryx veilance

almost exactly the same fit. i like the feel of the mionn more but the conduit has a much better warmth to weight ratio

indisce pant will be warmer because of the gore windstopper. the pockets on the align will be more comfortable than the fields but have similar problems. take this with a grain of salt because i haven’t had the aligns yet but they have the same pockets as the dyadic comp pants which can comfordably store my wallet phone and headphones (something my field pants don’t do as well) but lack any real volume storage (it’s no p24a).
  8. Acronym.

does anyone know how i would go about replacing or getting a new locking piece for my 3a-1? my sister just stepped on my bag

Figured I would x-post my thoughts on the new graph cardigan. Despite often wearing full veilance i’ve accepted that i don’t have the target body type of the models they choose so I’ve started to temper my expectations of what the clothes will actually look like when i get them heh. Burly double weave should hold up better than the (awful) voronois. it’s more of a soft shell and if it’s anything like the gamma rock pant or gamma lt it should fare much better in the long run

My thoughts on the Anneal. I fully agree with the marshmallow analogy however i still see this as a strong piece this season.

does it have that tight band at the bottom like the dyadic? or is it less restrictive

don’t have an in hand comparison but the mortar is distinctly greener and darker. mortar is almost the midpoint between peat and utility but a bit darker. one other note that i’ll mention is so far it has done a GREAT job of sweat management and unlike my ash frame, doesn’t show through in quite such an invasive way haha.

it’s a VERY odd color, at least in merino. i took this photo to show it in comparison to a few other colors. the pants are veilance khaki, the bag is rick owens and a mid-light brown the bag is a deeper washed out olive green. it’s closest to the olive but with a bit more of a brown undertone. hope this sort of helps hahah. also thanks junkie for the info on the isogon! i’m most excited for the align mx pants in that material but might need to look into the full set!
