Significant rep to the first to actually take the trip with the primary intention of jeans, holiday as an afterthought.
I live so close to Okinawa that is actually tempting me...

this is what levis wanted. to infiltrate superdenim.
The denim Trojan horse?

Aho, awesome! Ever since you posted your Fred Harvey piece I've been trawling eBay on the lookout for something from that era.
If nothing pans out, I might hit up the Larry Smith head shop in Tokyo this summer.

Surprisingly no... talking to the staff... they said 90% are from Arabian countries. Oil businessmen. They ship to places like Dubai and United Arab most
So that's who's been buying LVC at full price...

Yeah their me lucky pair.
Breaking them in with 0 washes.
I hear that's the best way to get sick skid mark fadez.

Wow, that cuff is awesome.
I like his turquoise concho belt a lot, too.
Edit: Accidentally neg repped your post haha, silly touch screens.

I gave them one warm soak; I could take some uncuffed photos, though there's nothing wrong with the hems.
Also, they're now for sale on eBay:

These look like Uniqlo boxers...

So I bought a lucky bag from First Arrow's that they were selling for Inazuma Festival, and I got two pieces; one was an arabesque cross that I'm selling, the other was a lightning bolt medicine wheel which I took to Take 5 and added to my necklace setup:

Picked up a new saddle leather belt from a local leather maker, Ken Guaranteed+:

Looking great; I'm going to Tokyo this summer, will have to add RMC to the list of shops I want to visit. Don't want to blow too much money at these shops in front of the GF though...

Mark me down as entering with a pair of Sugar Cane 1947.

He had his info on the other side of the box!
Man, I remember this guy from the Triumph the Comic Insult Dog bit when he trolls the Star Wars nerds.

Good to see someone get their Dongs out.

Hog, do the TCB's stretch much in the waist?
The Pherrow's 441 (and I'd imagine all of their jeans) don't really have much stretch to them.
And some more photos of where the jeans are at the moment:

Not denim, but I picked up these peach-flavored Momotaro hard candies last week:

OK, here goes:
Pherrow's 441 (sz 34), "slim taper model"
Waist: 16.8 inches (33.6 when doubled)
Rise: 13.1
Upper thigh: 11
Knee: 8.9
Leg opening: 8.1
I had the inseam hemmed to about a 34, down from 36.
The waist fits me perfectly on these; when sitting, the thighs have just enough room to be comfortable. I will say, the thighs look a bit wide at times when I'm standing, which gives my legs a somewhat stubby appearance. That was somewhat rectified today when I gave the jeans a healthy double cuff, which helped them drape better.
Pockets are small on these jeans, except for the coin pocket, which is quite wide. This is nice as I can fit my iPhone 5 in there with only a little effort.
Deadstock Talon zipper.
The denim on these is stubborn! I've been wearing these for months, almost every day, and whiskers are just showing; honeycombs are extremely faint. I gave them a third machine wash, and first machine dry, a couple weeks ago, and that made them pop some more. There's more vertical falling going on, which Pherrow's' denim is known for.
I'll post photos later when there's light outside, but leave you with this for now:

I wonder, if I created a steel jewellery thread, would Superman post on it?
I heard he left all his kryptonite-inset pieces back on Krypton.
Maybe he rocks something like this?

Hoggreaser: Sure, I can do a full write-up later on where my 441s stand with measurements and pics. I've been meaning to that for a while anyway ever since I gave them another wash a couple weeks ago and the denim popped again.
d-rew: Good choice; in retrospect I would have bought the 421s, and I have them in my queue for my next 13-ish oz jeans. Although I haven't worn the 13.75 oz denim, the 13.5 oz denim of my 441s didn't really stretch all that much. This is one reason I sold the 33s (my proper waist size) and went up to the 34s. The thighs on the 33s were too tight for me, especially while sitting, and that never really changed. If you're looking for a wider cut, there is the 500sw, which is quite nice looking.

Momotaro also has a 10 oz. "summer" jeans.

Maybe in one of these mugs?

Pherrow's 466 (possibly?)
Inspired by, somewhat, yes in terms of cut. Paper patch too, but other details are not 66, such as the hidden back pocket rivets.
Still a nice pair, regardless.

I guess I like big-bottomed selvedges.
I ordered it off Rakuten; Take 5 Taipei never carries the 1947 in store for some reason. Their regular SC jeans are the 2009, Okinawa, Hawaii, and a Union Star model.

Yep, that's what I'm hoping for; that, and the 14.25 oz denim! (The full selvage line is an added plus for me when I compare it to the funky, thin one on the 2009).

What was so troublesome about the RWs' breaking in?
I'm just curious because I'm strongly considering the RW 9268 for my next boots, and the only RWs I've broken in were my 875s (which did take a while to become comfortable).
