Nice; I like that striped Santo Domingo jacket. To me, it looks even better than the denim one that came out last year (?).

Those train tracks!

I wanted them to really fit. Being female, I don't need a pair of baggy denim.
Boyfriend jeans?
(Thanks to Kurt Chen/ Faith Co. for the photo)

I've now got two of flat heads loop wheeled fabrics and I'm not convinced that something better out there exists...
This isn't particular to loopwheel or not, but I love how it seems like quality t shirts mold to your body even after washes, as weird as it sounds.
Yes, I just posted a thought about this on Denimbro, regarding FH tees vs. Real McCoy's ones (especially concerning bang for the buck).

For now the FH ones are still the nicest I've worn as well.

Oops, accidentally neg repped your subtle joke Maynard.

Right on, that's why I got the 101S, it's certainly a very different kind of denim. I like it for a denim jacket too, since I don't really like it when jackets fade much.

Max, is that the Iron Heart border tee?
0 -
Is that the 5 Dips denim, Cucoo? If so, it's the same as my 101S Riders, which are stubborn faders haha. They don't seem to want to crease either.

Yeah, I think the green looks cool, I would almost leave it there; we need more oxidation porn here outside of rivets.

Interesting; is it silver?
I like the small bits of green oxidation forming in there.

Hog, I like how this has come full circle in some ways...from the days of ocean washes and excessive babying, to the blasé they're-just-jeans mentality, now to something in between. I guess the pendulum swung far enough in both directions to finally settle on the right course.
If what you say is true, perhaps I'll opt for more soaks.

Thanks for the honest answers guys, it wasn't si clear to me from DWC website (only the hardcore denim tux requirements stood out as being somewhat restricting, but that's a different beast).

Wait, so during the competition we can't wear any other jeans than the comp pair?

As long as its cool jewelry, I think that's what counts. In this case, another awesome piece!
How much do some of these cuffs weigh? They look pretty hefty.

Haha what a prankster.

So does it smell like raw denim? In that case, I will buy a huge box of it.
Almost...it has a very unique smell, hard to describe. I would say try it out, as to me it smells like a denim store should (probably just my personal bias).

@ironhorse - i used samurai soap once... doesn't it make your jeans smell kinda weird for a while? I dislike that earthy smell...
Yes, the jeans keep the smell for a while (I also use the soap with my nicer shirts).
I really disliked the smell at first, but now I love it. I wish my whole house smelled like the stuff, haha. It reminds me of the Take 5 shop, since it smells like a whole ton of raw denim, leather, and Samurai soap inside. Embrace the earthiness of it, I say!

I'm not worthy! I really love these pieces; I haven't heard of Maloney before, but it looks like he's Navajo too. This ring of his looks great:

(It's a nice shirt, what is it?)
On my end, I just won a First Arrow's cuff bracelet on eBay, so I'll post some pics when that comes in.

Samurai soap in the washer and then hang dry.

That cuff is incredible aho, looks like the inside of an alien spaceship really.
Looking forward to more pics!

Keeping it simple:

you've sort of wrote down why I don't wear engineer boots myself. I love the construction and the look of it but I think I'm not self confident enought to pull them off
I always feel this way when I try something new and bold for myself, style-wise. Each time I stepped up to some new level for me, I felt self-conscious and even had buyer's remorse. Of course, once people started complimenting whatever it is I tried, I quickly forgot about that.

I'm not in the market for taking on more denim, but I'd say right now:
-Okinawas
-Samurai 0500xx
-SDA 103
-Pherrows wabash pants
-TCB 50s

OK, interesting; I was thinking of removing the steel toes from the 9268s when I get them. I guess with everyday wear they might break in at roughly the same speed as the 875s (which I think must have taken me several weeks of everyday, painful wear).
