washing DS.. cold delicate wash using the laundress signature detergent.. anyone have anything i should know before i ruin my favorite pants? lol

Definitely use a warm wash like @solographik has said. I washed my DS just last night for the first time. Inside out, warm with grangers, double rinse, hang dry. Worked great. The cleaning info that @CARLOOA has posted in the past and this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4N6ZuKTZ_c) are both valuable resources.

I sold my NG3 for $700 to someone who put up a wtb at that price. I wasn't even looking to sell but as someone wanted to pay that, I was happy to sell it.

That strikes me as pure insanity. But who am I to doubt a market economy? This stuff is only worth as much as people are willing to pay. If someone wants to pay seven hundred clams for that sweet sweet warm neck bliss, then I suppose that's what it's worth.

  3. Big +rep to @goretexjacket for selling me P23A-DS. Reached out to me about selling, was quick to respond to messages, gave me free shipping, and shipped the pants overnight express. Would gladly conduct business with him again

Edit: Also to bump my listing, I now have the full pack P23-S

WTS: P23-S,  size large, black colorway. Sold

i'm thinking they are just preloading the items onto their site and getting ready to drop them whenever the time comes.

I wasn't sure if the prices had been known yet? I scrolled back and didn't see them. That's the only thing that I was getting my jimmies all rustled about

  5. Has anyone seen this? A few items are showing up in Restocks for the next drop from Hotoveli.

    J65-WS: $1070

    J62-S: $1455

    J56-S: $1340

  6. Ooh yes, Acronym appreciation time. Okay so one time last year I was wearing my J27-GT, pretty drunk, riding my roommates bicycle to get some fast food around 1 or 2 in the morning (had broken spokes on mine, I launch it off way too many curbs). He works as a bike mechanic at the shop on our campus, so this thing was tuned up nice. I was using my phone in my right hand, and with my left hand I grabbed the front brakes to slow down. On my bike it's sloppy and loose so you have to crank it all the way down, but this thing was tuned af, as such I immediately went flying over the handle bars. I'm not sure exactly how I came down exactly, probably on my shoulders and did a combo flop/army roll until I came to a stop. When I woke up the next morning I was sure I was going to find a huge hole on the jacket somewhere, found absolutely nothing, it's like it never even happened. 10/10 quality.

And as an added bonus, the grease from the burgers and crisp meats I stuffed in my pockets to bring home wiped away super easily. So I didn't have to wallow in the shame of my sins for all too long

That’s a great story...never heard of something working out that well before! Glad you managed to get hold of the ones you wanted.

Honestly I'm still really quite surprised at how this is turning out in the end. These jawnz are worth it to jump through a few hoops

Haven't sorted it out fully yet. Ordered P23A, spec sheet in the bag is for the P23A, but the pants in the bag are P23-S.

WTT - brand new P23-S size Large, for P23A-DS size Large

Otherwise I'll probably be sending these back pretty quick here

Edit: Since I'm a new poster I'm sure that makes me look suspicious. I've been a lurker for a long time (not that that means anything). I have purchased from @jward451 and @kampongkid in the past. This is my grailed profile: https://www.grailed.com/users/myitems/2797 .

Edit part 2: I'm keeping the pair I received. Steve at Hotoveli has been very helpful in trying to find out where the other pants went. They're refunding me the difference in value.

UPDATE: This is now a WTS post. Shortly after I told the Hotoveli folks I'd keep the pants, I received a message from the person who received the pants I was supposed to get. I have now bought them.

That said, I'm looking for a quick sale. If someone is interested, I can send the pants right away without the bag and spec. Or I can wait until the package comes in and then ship the whole pack out.

Which store ? I would've called them immediately.

It was from Hotoveli. I didn't open the package until after they'd closed last night. I'll give them a ring today and hopefully figure it out.

I had a similar thing once where Hanon sent me an item in the wrong size when the label on the pack was right. They will believe you as you raised it straight away. I would also moan that they have stopped you from getting a hard to find item that is now sold out everywhere (might result in a discount code for you)...

I was really looking forward to being swathed in that sweet sweet dryskin, alas, my time will come eventually

Ouch if I were you I’d be contacting the stockist asap

Immediately after I opened my package I sent them an email. In my cynical nature, I am concerned that they will not believe the situation. In the brightest of lights, I can at least hope for a trade or a return, and use the money for something in the second drop. Nevertheless, I am severely disappointed at this.

It's very good for the price point. That being said, isaora outerwear is 50-70% cheaper than say veilance or ACR so obviously the quality won't be anywhere close. Honestly, I think Isaora make sense for someone on a budget or getting into tech wear, but personally, the difference in quality is too big to what I am used to so I'd rather save and buy pieces I love

That make a lot of sense. I'm a sucker for the psychological benefit of those low sticker prices, but I'd be inclined to agree with you.

Ideal, but unrealistic, especially when we're talking about boutiques, which by very definition are small outfits. Most don't have the infrastructure, or let alone space, to stock that many items. With Acronym it's a whole nother lever of complexity: pieces are too expensive for a store to purchase several of, even if they wanted to; plus ACR itself is supply constrained so it can't provide the numbers retailers may want.

I suppose I don't really know the first thing about the process of operating a small inventory, high price retailer. Considering the prices vs something like the archetypal fashion houses, I would assume that margins on Acronym are far smaller. Which could have the potential to seriously harm the longevity of these boutiques if they get stuck with any dead inventory at all? I'm interested to see where this is going over the next few seasons, with the influence of the hype I expect Acronym to continue to raise the prices until they find their price equilibrium on the number of sales made (It's been ages since I took economics, if someone can help me on the name of this concept). After which point, one might assume that they would use the excess revenue to expand the brands production and bring prices back down? Is it even possible to create an economy of scale on a product that is intended to be on the cutting edge year after year?

  14. That seems kind of absurd. Previously I was under the impression that items in the store are meant to be reserved for in-store sales, and the online orders should come from a separate stock that is not on the floor.

How are you liking it thus far? I've been easing back into digital ever so slightly, after about a year of casually shooting film. I'm keen on the a7 line for exactly what you've done there, I've found that I really dislike the character of modern lenses now.

Anyway, here's a couple of my shots to add to the thread?:

  16. Received an email from Hotoveli saying that their discount wasn't supposed to work on Acronym products, and I'll need to pay the difference to finish the order. A bit disappointing, but I knew that deal was too good to be true.

hotoveli seemed to have the best prices. plus got my 10% discount for subscribing to their news letter. missed out on the ng7-ps pre order tho. shit went fast but still got my j58

That discount was my reason for going with them as well. I only realized that had it just this morning, the sweet delight was overwhelming when I tested to see if it worked on the existing stock before the launch
