  2. Just wondering what raws are available on the market that are similar to the fit of Levi 510's that also do small waist sizes (26-28) and anywhere up to $300 ideally.

Naked and famous superskinny guys and the nudie fits tighter than the grim tim, ie tape ted, tight long john, thin finn etc. Theres also a possibility of sizing down 2 or possibly 3 on a pair of APC petite standards but you can't really do that with your waist size. Most of the other brands that are popular here like don't have much in the way of really tight fits. And not many go all the way down to a size 26. For most a size 28 is the smallest I've seen.

  3. Planning on picking up a pair of 3002 from tate + yoko but I have a question. I've heard the the 3xxx deniim shrinks alot, but would a size 36 with an 8.25 hem, 9.2 knee and 12.75 thigh shrink down to a 7.5-7.7 hem, 8.5 ish knee and a 12 inch thigh with a hot soak + agitation by hand or in a washer?

  4. The 3002 are actually available at the store and on the website, it wasn't referenced properly on the system.

Ok sweet. If I was planning on getting a pair in a 36, after a hot soak with agitation (or just going through the washer) would they shrink down to around a 7.5-7.7 leg opening, 8.5 ish knee and around a 12 thigh? or should I just go with a 34?

  5. I'd stay away from those elephant 3s for your first pair. Especially in that heat. Those are incredibly stiff, heavy and don't breathe at all. Also the skinny guy fit is quite a bit different from the ST and mustang fit. They more closely resemble a sized down weird guy from naked and famous. If you want the mustangs just send ande an email with what you want and he'll help you size properly. If you'd like some N&F the deep indigos are decent but I'd go with the left hand twill instead. Slightly lower weight. Softer when broken in and LHT always seems to fade well. But overall, the ande whalls are the best of what you're looking at

  6. Thank you guys!

I really love the japan heritage fabric. My previous pair were some deep indigos which I liked, too.

Only three fabrics come in the super skinny guy cut and only the left hand twills would be an option.

This would mean that I should get another brand with a similar fitting.

Can anybody tell me how the LHT fade in general?

I read that they are a lot softer..

  7. Yeah I've never had to pay duties on any of the jeans I've bought from them and shipping isn't too expensive either. I sent them an email and unless they say they barely shrink at all, I'll probably end up taking the 34. Thanks for the info.

  8. Looking to pick up a pair of the S003JP Yamato 15th anniversary edition jeans. But I have a couple of questions for anyone who has any experience with them. How much do they shrink and then stretch because according to BiG measurements I could either go with a 34 if they shrink a lot or a 33 if they don't. Also is there a better place to buy them instead of BiG? I've gotten a few pairs from them and I've been happy but I see a lot of people in this thread use proxies from Japan to get better prices or whatever else.

  9. Does anybody else keep a Word document keeping track of your daily denim wear?  I write down which pair of jeans I wear I each day, then add up the numbers at the end of the week.  Additionally, I record the number of washes for each pair and the day they were washed, etc.  I find that this really comes in handy, but when I've told people about this they've thought I sounded a bit crazy.

I do something similar but with the notes app on my iPhone.

  10. I find that going off measurements the PBJ 011 012 013, slim tapered cuts might not be flattering on anyone except people with very skinny knees and thighs. And i mean shaved down knee bones. The knees are always very tight on the specs compared to all other slim tapered cuts that interest me. The thigh is ok and all that, but ive seen them tend to hourglass on people. On the above guy they just look tight all over, but i wish there was some way of giving this feedback, as i always see them fit just a bit off on people.

The measurements on PBJs slim tapered fits are pretty misleading. Yeah the knee is quite a bit slimmer than other brands slim tapered fits but the larger leg opening in comparison to other brands kinda counteracts the knee. Theres quite a sharp taper from the thigh to the knee but its basically straight from the knee down so the smaller knee really isn't noticeable. You just need to size right. I have both the 11 and the 13 and the fit is pretty much identical to my IH 301s, my SG 3109, and my tapered SExFHxRJBs.

Edit - I also have pretty muscular legs so it can work, again you just need to size right.

  11. They wont stretch much, have a pair in a size 33 that stretched about an inch past the presoak measurement in the waist but about a half an inch at the absolute most in the thigh, probably less. Those look tight all the way down the leg, no way will they stretch enough. Since you can't return them I'd sell them off then buy at least 1 size up, even going up 2 might not be a bad idea.
