  1. for sure he told me that the best cut for now appears to be the one I've posted here, but then he posted a different pic on his IG..

  2. communication with Inoue is not always easy as I think he google translates everything. If I understood correctly he has tried out a few different designs as per now. I'll try to clarify with him.

  3. This doesn't look insanely long to you? What I've learned to do is check the length relative to the wear the hands are.

In the blog post there at least three different denim shirts: the original sears and roebucks, the slighty modified design I posted (which has a different yoke design from the original and a cleaner silhouette) and a different design with a more standard pocket shape. The s&r is indeed quite long but Inoue's take on the design doesn't look to be.
  4. Is Inoue-San down to do something special for us, or is that pushing the limits.

I can certainly ask, maybe something simple like a special label for all shirts that will be sold through our Sufu preorder.

  5. If I understood correctly Hajime tried out a few differents design but thinks this one is the best silhouette. The lighter shirt pictured should be the original Sears.

  6. I only need the shirt to pull of a four piece suit including trousers jacket vest and shirt! Then I'll need TCB socks and shoes haha!

  7. I like to get my pairs slighty on the larger side and then wear an insole, works better for me. I could fit on a 9.5 G but I'll get a 10F same as I do with Trickers and RW. I am confident it will work nicely. I love to curl my toes on that extra bit of space available!

  8. I love them Hoggy! I think it's the best fitting pair I have.

The only thing I don't like is the way front pockets are shaped, tiny and not accessible. Other than that they're a great no frills pair of jeans, and a massive bang for the bucks.

Watch is a 1977 Certina Blue Ribbon, volvo's 50th anniversary watch. Everybody who was working in Torslanda, be them top managers or workers, got one obese watches as a present from the company. How Swede socialist of them!

Edit- Certina pic with Volvo on background (!)

  9. I'm having a custom Oxford shoe made by William Lennon at the moment.

Triple leather sole, internal lining, still need to make up my mind on which kind of leather, they suggested their own pull up leather.

They suggested me two different lasts..

    Army last:

    Hills shoe last:

I'll go bold (and clown!) with the hill shoe last. Very excited about this!

  10. @Volvo: there you have your answer from whom you should buy those Genua jeans :D

yeah! these are impossible to find, unfortunately. been there done that! I first got in touch with Inoue asking if he could help me out tracking down a pair of Genoa jeans, then I ended up buying my first pair 60's.. then everything else!

  11. Is a Volvo the next project to talk me into?

man.. you know you should have one. an easy project such as an early 80's 244 or 245 with a B230A engine, solid 4cyl carburator engine, no fuss, and they're selling for a twopenny in Sweden. I'll browse tradera for you and send links!!!!!

    volvo your from verona?

nope mate, I'm from Savona, close by Genoa, the homeland of jeans (haha, not true but we could argue about that). for sure at least it's the city from which originates the word "jeans".

  12. killer posts red dragon!

currently taking a day off from the TCB while I wait them to be repaired.

    porky's 66

    kawasaki sneakers

I love the fit on these porky's, look forward to wear them often after the end of the TCB contest.

  13. I'd be all over the SDA 101's if they only made it in a slighty lighter denim, 15 oz is already too heavy for me.

I am actually thinking about my next "loose" pair after the TCB contest will be gone. tempted either by FC 0105 or something by Warehouse (possibly 1001), what would you reccomend?

I like the shape of the 1001's but I fear it won't be as transpirant as I'd like it to be. Thoughts gents?

12.5 to 13.5 oz jeans are ideal for me as I can manage to wear them all year long. Won't bother for anything heavier than that (no need) or lighter than that (no need either!).
