  1. Daaaaaamn.... just getting caught up, that’s what I get for going out to dinner with my wife, missed out on the J72.

@meccaNIZM i usually wear a L.. but thinking about sizing down. any input about sizing?

If you sized down and still wanted an insulator, you’d probably only be able to fit a vest, the arms are a pretty trim fit. It fits pretty long, more like a field jacket. I’d say stay true to size if you’re gonna wear it as a shell, sizing down would probably turn it into a lightweight jacket you thrown on over a tee. Plus the cinch cord really can pair down the fit if needed.

if you can, a picture of it on you fully zipped, and a couple of just the jacket laying flat - advanced pocket from the front, layed open to see the inside, and cuffs. it has an escape zip ya? thanks so much

here's the only full shot one I have at the moment... inside with the cinch shockcord, inside the advanced pocket, and both sides of it stowed in itself, and the cuffs. It does have an escape zip. Honestly been my fav since I got it... I know its a lot for WS, but im in SoCal, so GT is overkill. The upper right snap pocket the holds down 3rdArm straps could be the simplest but most useful thing on it.

I'd had a few amicable mail exchanges with them about my cancelled order and I thought it was done with to be honest, if they're gone they're gone and no amount of complaining or being a dick is going to change that. Then they just dropped me a line today out of the blue and apologised again for the mistake on their side in cancelling my order. told me how much they appreciated that I'd been a loyal customer for so long and made me an extremely generous offer to make up for it. I always say that it's not what you have to deal with, it's how you deal with it. In all honesty, I think this could be one of the best examples of turning around a customer disappointment that I've ever experienced. Hats off to them.

    That's dope man!!

... I had a similar situation where my size was apparently bought in between my order confirmation and my payment confirmation. After a few days I just got a "sorry, payment not received before item sold out". Ended up finding what I wanted on here so all is well... But Subnet would fix everything!!!

I would usually just push my sleeves up instead of rolling and secure the elastic loop with the velcro tab.

Same... these are actually one feature i use a lot on jackets with them, but it’s pretty impossible on any with gravity pockets

  7. Just got the j1a-gtv... many props to @ yankees19032002

will get more info out as i wear it, but initial thoughts: I’ve always been a fan of volt, but the 2.5 layer fabric is Amazing. The interior texture is pretty dope, not sure what purpose it will serve. But the face could be my new fav. Softer than other GT but not quite the the level of the J29s reduced audio signature. It’s almost like a twill face, seems to breath really well. Internal sling is missed for me as well... I’ll get more up with more useage

  9. Anyone here pick up the medium J1A-GTV that popped up like an hour or so after the initial drop?.... I got an order confirmation, but no payment confirmation, which is worrisome

Consider/discuss : If only there was innovation, Iove Acronym but consistently see the P10 / J1A show reruns rather that the new styles that divide opinion then galvanize it after people settle into the groove, remember that the CP1/CP2 happened years before the overground the J28 also but we've seen that trotted out on several occasions now too.

If a fair wage is in the debate then take preorders and stagger production based on demand, no one will complain and no arguments can be given and income will be constant and fund extra shifts at mill!

As far as competitors there are a handful, the sibling SISP, then you have Uber and vellance on the clean minimal front, Vollebak on the fabric innovation for active folk, Rick on the prgressive fashion avant garde, etc etc, seek and ye shall find aplenty, but I'm a little saddened that all is released is all but the new colour schemes and a paclite version of the alpha.

I have high hopes but wavering, never thought I'd say that

100% with Tek.... inly new feature in the past serveral years was AuxZip? Which has been done before. I’m still mostly all in in the design, albeit would like to see more diversity: capes, blazers, etc, but would love more innovation.

  11. Regarding pricing...

It’s hard to believe ACR is concerned about reselling.... if that were really the case there are ways, albeit extreme, to ensure they go to actual users. But production costs are going up in every category, not just techwear. Every production department operates on margins, prices are not arbitrary. Sure larger companies will round to an even number, but margins are why the J53ts is priced at 1,887.00 EUR and not 1900. The price of GoreTex has gone up a lot of the past several years, so has leasing factories, wages, travel, etc. Errolson isn’t backed by a financial conglomerate to bankroll all his expenses. He has to pay for all the aforementioned as well as any R&D. While I’m sure he is doing fine financially, his business model is not the typical blueprint so I’m sure he’s still figuring things out. Ya, it sucks that I can no longer look over each piece every drop and decide on a couple, but it is what it is. Good things come to an end, and I don’t really see a “correction” back to old days of 15 3rdArm items sitting on the webshop for 2 years. In the meantime, I’ll keep checking the usual outlets for the J28-e, DS-J5, E-j21, and on and on...

"Fresh" here means a bag that was released in different colour in 2013 for literally half the price? A bag that's undergone minimal design changes since it was first released in 2001? A bag that every "brokeboi" on Instagram has been wearing for, what, five years now?

Don't get me wrong—I like the 3a-1, and I like Errolson, and I hope he's finally making the sort of money he deserves. But this shit isn't "fresh."

I ain’t even mad at the bags... but the “mods” ?...?....? I mean looking back at the OG 3rd Arm selection compared to the these 1 zip pouches.

  13. Let me start off by saying, admittedly, I panic ordered the WS having  missed out on everything this winter. I get the whole cost vs. fabric vs. previous releases thing... I'm just not sure that's really an argument for any ACR gear, as discussing the usage of gravity pockets, ect. I wear a p10a/j29 combo with 17 pockets... Did I use/need all of them? Nope, I had my phone and my keys. Was it poring rain? Nope, it was 73 and sunny in January. Maybe I've just been waiting for a full-on-ACR WS jacket since I live in SoCal and can only wear a Pro-shell for 2 weeks out of the year, but I don't take ACR all that serious. Yes, I love the technical features of fabrication, and fit block construction, but damn Acronym just looks dope!
