  1. When I was in Berlin in October, I fell in love with the repro Lee Storm Rider they carry at 14OZ. I guess it's made in Italy? Anyone have any experience with this one?

I had a Storm Rider growing up for bush parties / dirtbiking, and kind of miss it. At the time I was in Berlin, not CDN500 worth of missing it, though. Kind of regret not getting it.

Ugh... so terrible. Does anyone know if any resolution ever came about after DC4 got robbed? They just closed up shop right?

I was at DC4 at the beginning of October and they're very much in business. And, the fine gentleman who owns the place sent us off for beers around the corner while he hemmed my Onis.

By far the best denim buying experience I've had. What a lovely guy.

  3. Yeah - water resistance typically isn't very high. My new Stowa has a push in crown, so I'm keeping it away from water. My IWC 3706 has a screw-in crown, but it's 17 years old, so I'm also keeping it away from water.

I'd feel comfortable swimming in any modern watch with a screw down crown, pilots included, and any modern dive watch with a push in crown (like the Rado Captain Cook).

  4. I was in SENY a couple of weeks ago in shorts and Vans and made a joke that I had grown out of the need to wear denim and work boots every day of the year to be cool.

Then I noticed what the guys were wearing...

Anyway, it will be great when they pick up Warehouse. Hopefully by then I'll be a legit 36 in 900s, not stuck between that and 38. Hopefully we've finished our feud by then.

  5. No - that's the weird thing. No signs of a blowout and not tight at all around the groinal region. Just bad luck, I guess. I'll post a shot if I ever get finished with this project I'm shooting, which has grown from one Canadian city to 4 across three provinces.

  6. My Warehouse 900s were supposed to be my jeans for a week away, filming, but when I went to pull them on, found that they'd completely undone themselves right where the front, back and inner leg seams meet.

I've never had that happen with a pair before, and needless to say, I'm not super happy about it. What a waste of $300.
