FWIW, he was always accommodating if there was a problem with his jeans (one time) for me. 

BBSP is the bomb! Been on their email list ($50 a year is worth it) for a good while. The SSENSE article he did was mega a few months ago. He hits the mark so many times and it isn't always fashion too. 

Washing machine is free at the moment (I think it's full of quarters and can't take anymore) so figured it was a good time to get my washing in for the winter.

I assumed from previous years and what they have showed on their Instagram account with how many prizes are in the pot, that the Top 50 from each conference could get “something.” Not sure exactly if that’s fully correct or if it’s more fluid.

Judging from the size you posted in your Denime history thread, it seems I would need to look for a size 34 (newer Denime, size 36 looks best with shrinking). I’m assuming fairly similar shrinkage? Can internationals buy from Mercari Japan?

I didn't, sorry. TFH was quite "big" compared to other denim stores. Fullcount was the smallest and seemingly the busiest.

One of the most important things to this kind of competition is to pick a pair of jeans that will work well for year-round wear, and with all sorts of outfits you wear. Last round of this contest I tried the Samurai S3000vx for a few months; great jeans I'll wear more in the future, but between the heavy, crunchy denim and low-ish rise (on me), they're really best suited to wearing in colder weather with untucked shirts.

Should be a good one. I agree, I told myself I needed a relaxed taper with something ~15oz or below. I have the 3sixteen CT-102xn on standby, just waiting for @kiya to send me my "free" pair of SExI26-ST if the measurements line up. 😉

Not gonna lie though, glad SE Asia has their own conference to start with, those kids are nuts. 25oz denim in 100% humidity with 110 degree weather? How can you compete? Good thing there is multiple judges, not everyone sees sharp high contrast as the holy grail.

Looks to be a ton of prizes so far.

Yes! Have a pair in the cart waiting but will head up to SELA to try some others.
