Denime
in superdenim
Pre-soak
Post-soak
Measurements (size 36/32)
Put it through a warm, delicate wash cycle; originally air-dried but I realized it wasn't going to dry in time, so I put it in a delicate low-heat dryer.Pre-soak / Post-soak
W: 37.50 / 35.25
FR: 13.50 / 12.50
RR: 17.50 / 16.75
TH: 13.25 / 12.75
KN: 10.25 / 9.75
LO: 9.25 / 8.75
IN: 34.50 / 32.50These fit great and the denim is spot on! I probably could do another wash and dry and probably will once IIY4 starts and I'm onto my comp pair. Either way, these fit awesome; enough room for some additional shrinkage, but I like the fit as is, to be honest.

When in doubt, go for the bigger size.

Yeah, was for the Buaisou crew. He’s been posting a fair bit showing the process behind all the dyeing. Cool insights.

The 49s sound like a great compromise! 👍

Did you sell them @quaranteneuf?

Haha, I love the "LIVE'S" tab; well done!

I was doing some spring cleaning and thought I had to get a few more shots. More here.

Lots of the podium pairs also looked too “good” to be true. Number 2 last year is a Japanese YouTuber kinda notorious for pushing a little extra hard for fades. In other words, I wouldn’t join to win. Very unlikely given how much it grew too.
Where can we see past winners?

Since this thread is the home of our British lads anyways I got a question for you: which is the best marmelade (kumquats obviously) brand?

So I ended up picking up a 220a pair in 36/32 from Cultizm with the sign up bonus. Worked out to not be too far off Bears (out of stock) price-wise.

Freewheelers is also very close to Flat Head (and the others @reallypeacedoff mentioned above) in Shibuya… that neighborhood put a hurt on my wallet, but such a great time and experience.
I’m actually glad I didn’t know about FW, my wallet would have obliged, but grudgingly.
SDA is M’arijuan by the way @blooming.
Not sure why I didn’t look up Hinoya but Bears was enough for me. It’s not crazy far but with multiple trains and not sure how early you need to be for the next flight, you could Uber all those locations, not as cheap as the trains but no navigation required. 😎

Booked flights for a trip to SE Asia, but I have a 10 hour layover in Tokyo on the way there and an 8 hour layover on the way back. Flat Head store in Shibuya is one of the first on my list. Seems like the shop has nothing but great reviews.
And then you have FC, Edwin, SDA, Momo, JB, and Tools Infinity (TCB, SC, and Levi's), all within a 20-minute radius. Could visit, peruse, try, and buy within 3 hours easily. You could probably fit Warehouse (Denime) in, too, while you are at it. Max 4 hours. Bears would be a must, in my opinion, but it's a little further out so you might be cutting it slim.

Also enjoyed the content as the Nudies and Imperial bit hit hard for me, considering my real first dipping of feet into proper Japanese denim—after Nudies—was the SExI04. The SE origin story was also cool and not something I would have thought it evolved from.

New Imperials are up, I just got the 47 and ST, with the latter being my pair for the Indigo Invitational. Will post pics when I get them 👍🏻

Boom! I just purchased both in size 36, I will using the ST pair for the Indigo Invitational. Stoked!
Bought the Poten indigo denim adj. hat too, figured I would try to wear that in for IIY4 as well.

Despite B_Fs apparent "jealousy" (😉), I am excited to see how one year of full wear will look like on the 220A. I haven't stopped wearing mine since I got them, excellent cut and denim. Was also nice to do the full wash, soak, and dry before wearing them. OW sure is convenient but you miss some of that pre/post excitement.
