  1. The sun shining onto my boots prompted me to sprawl and contort on the floor to take a few pics. One of the perks of remote work. These are almost five years old and just had their semi-annual waxing and polishing (with regular but less involved brushings in between)
  2. I'm always looking for viable clarks wallabee alternatives, padmores and barnes was on my list of course but this is the first I've heard of wildbunch. They look great
  3. I have a pair of wallabees going on10+ years and while they are worn to hell they are still kicking. The longevity of the crepe sole is incredible, a decent quality crepe sole is very hard wearing
  4. Dug these out of the closet recently, the type 3 black denim. Great pair of black jeans

Pulling out the 50s on a cooler day. Color most accurate in the closeups. Love the crinkling and marbling of this denim even with countless washes
  6. I wouldn't say the handsewn is inherently higher quality. The resulting look is slightly different. I have a pair of Alden shell tassel loafers (from shoe mart factory seconds, with possibly fewer imperfections than my first quality models -- that's a tale for another time), and I like the machine stitch on the apron. It's a bit "neater" and that makes it a bit dressier than the handsewn, which works for what I wear them for. Of course, if you are going for something more casual, then that won't be an issue. I think there is a place for both.
