nice pics again...can´t wait for the final vid!
why is ringring´s face blurred out btw.? is he some kind of superhero, like spider-man or batman and no one´s allowed to see how he really looks?...
My guess: overblown personality.
If it is indeed Renzo, he's got even less reason to undisclose his identity now that he is without a job...
Anyhow, it keeps people entertained - consider it free entertainment.

I measure 33 - 33.5" and my Samurai size is W32
This is applies to S0510AI-OGSP and S5000VX - they will be a bit tight at first (if you hot soak), but will stretch
For conformation on the S5000AI-OGSP you have to wait - I have a pair waiting in HK to be shipped...

Any residents of the north pole, antarctica, or possibly even astronauts willing to give these a spin?
How about winter in Moscow?
Let me know if this sounds like a good idea...

Usually no haggling - you're lucky if you happen to be there around CNY when they have sales.
VIP Membership last 1 year and gets extended automatically if you spend over a certain amount during the course of the year.
Prices with VIP discount should be best outside of Japan - considering transport and taxes that might be added in a lot of cases.

Got a type 132 in W32 that I can't make to for for me, so it seems.
If anybody is interested hit me with an PM for details.

No pre-order, but the shop just got them.
I was interested in getting an idea what FC has been up to since I checked last time (FC1101 years ago and, more recently, trying most of their standard range not being happy with the cuts).
Waiting for the shop to confirm W31 measurements and then the question will be W30 or W31...

Anybody any ideas which denim they are using for the 1922 model and how much shrinkage/stretch to expect?
0 -
^ true size is around 33" - so, a 34" actual measurement should do...
0 -
yes, bears quotes a size 32 (what I think you normally take) with 90cm at the waist before wash. so I guess you have to size down a bit
Take5 quotes W30 at 34" (86.4cm) actual measurement
this translates to size down 2 from regular jeans size or size down 3 from actual measurements - no idea about the fit at this stage.
(if I take it I might get it by early March.)

Try Okiya when in Europe - they stock type 132

Take5 was recommending to size down to W29 or W30
Quite scary...

Got the 1922 model on order - the shop tells me the turned out bit bigger - let's see if they recommend a different size for this one...

Prefer something used (as I'm a bit poor at the moment), but thanks for the links b_F
Though one - good luck!
(ordering from Take 5, if they have the size, would be slightly cheaper with VIP discount...)

Question: what's the consent on shrinkage/stretch for a pair of Blacksmith in Rising Sun's Cone Mill's denim (raw & sanforized)?

As far as i know they offer hemming at a membership price and at a non-membership price.
They can discuss alterations with you, but usually don't do the alterations themselves. They will give it to a tailor or give you advise to which tailor to go to.
But if you know what you want and what machines to look for you should not have a problem to find a local tailor with the right equipment.

Mushrooms & (sour) cream?
The red stuff could be sweet pepper powder...

Regarding LV and similar luxury brands:
Some have an outstanding track record and a history/reputation to speak of. Please consider that these brands often have different lines/ranges for different price levels. Certain lines will be done in-house with exceptional craftsmanship level in limited numbers at high prices. Some will be licensed and done outside. Often the price level will tell you what you are looking at. But you guys should know that...
Regarding outsourcing:
Outsourcing does not automatically equals lower quality. If there was no quality to speak of in the first place there will be no loss. If the company does not care for quality control/quality assurance at the outsourcing partner it should not come as a surprise. Also, statistically speaking if you increase your output and outsource (because you take more orders) you will face an increase in quality issues in absolute numbers - the reject rate or claim rate in percentage might actually have improved.
Most companies opting for outsourcing are driven to do so for various reasons:
- increasing output
- price pressure (especially in the US the domestic market is highly competitive and driven by sometimes unrealistic customer expectation)
- lack of skilled workers
and so on...
