Lot.12 on top of Lot.10 - Lot.10 is worn in for about half a year and has different shade of blue - the back side of the twill in Lot.10 appears have a more pronounced "slubbiness"

this pair has probably as much taper as I can handle...

  3. I think CS is right. Most of the brands here are rather small and do production runs of probably around 300 pairs due to limitations in machine capacity as well potential sales.

Exclusive arrangements are not unusual in the industry to eliminate competition or/and when reasonably large capacities are involved.

I guess due to the size of theses small companies they do not care to much about granting exclusive rights in foreign markets. They are most likely tired of getting small orders from new shops every season only to have the shop break off the relationship after just one season (when the shops realize that they can not afford to trade the product at the required price points).

I believe the details for the specific case of split exclusive rights between BiG and SF can be found in the older threads. Not a nice story, but in the end it's strictly business...

  4. ^^ it is quite rare to have a Z and S twill of similar properties in denim as the intention is often to create differnt properties and a distinct appearance and therefore you often change the loom settings or use different weft and warp yarns.

If you use similar yarns and settings on a loom that can create consistent results for for Z and S twills you should get similar behavior and fading properties. The drape should be the same as well, just the direction of the slant/skewness/spirality/leg twist is different.

  5. Samurai S5000AI-OGSP

I managed to order the second AI model Samurai issued this season.

Just got it in the other day and took measurements and soaked it.

    W32 - Pre-soak - Post-soak

    W 17.25-17.5" - 16.5-16.75" (I already stretched it a bit during soaking)

    FR 11" - 10.5"

    BR 14.25" - 13.5"

    T 13" - 12.5"

    K 9.5" - 9.25"

    LO 9-9.25" - 8.5-8.75"

    IS 38" - 36.25"

Unfortunately, it got a bit dark outside - so you are only getting a few shots as I didn't want use flashlight. Will have them hemmed. In a few weeks time I will hopefully get around to take more detailed pictures with appropriate light settings. Mind, the denim has not settled down after soaking...

breaking them in right now at home - if I wear them outside later today I will take fit pictures.

right now I am stretching the waistband, rise is high - this model (like a true 1922 model) is supposed to sit right on the waistline and not on the hips like most modern cuts.

denim feels dry and lightweight - although not as lightweight as some Warehouse models feel, but this is only subjective right now...

  7. I also use the "IMG code" link which photobucket provides...and it works everytime

I use the same codes over at mynudies - not a problem.

    Here at SuFu - wtf

Makes me think it is a problem with the settings.

edit - can't do it from my iPad - need to do it from my iBook - not that it makes sense, but it works this way...

    fixed!

  8. all your photo links are "page not found"

Under your photos in photobucket, you should have four links, one of which is IMG code. Copy and paste that link where you want the photo to appear in your sufu posts, like below.

    ...

That's how I do it in other forums - there it works without a problem.

Here in SuFu it does not work...

Do I need to do something with my photobucket settings? Or my SuFu setting or status? Too little posts to contribute pictures...

  9. Finally my pair of 1922's has arrived.

Pictures (can't be bothered to waist more time trying' to figure out how it is supposed to work here at SuFu if this works everywhereelse) and measurements:
