  1. I got the store to measure a pair of 34 and they said they measure 17.5, I wonder if I should size up to a 36?

This is the one thing I hate about LVC, not that cone denim shrinks but the shrinkage varies over different denims and LVC have very little real product info. feels very much like guess work.

Maynard: the ones you are seeling (2010) model appears to be made to allow for the shrinkage?

Do you know if the denim used on the 2015 model is a new denim? It's described as being procuded specifically for this collection (handshake).

  2. Stormtrooper: Let me see your identification.

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: [with a small wave of his hand] You don't need to see his identification.

Stormtrooper: We don't need to see his identification.

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: These aren't the jeans you're looking for.

  3. Roy "Kinda Special" Cone Project Jeans - KS1002 purchased December 2014. Got them hemmed sometime earlier this year and they’ve been on regular rotation. Compared to my RS04 the Cone Denim has not worn well, not nearly as sturdy, last week a button fly hole split (it had already has some preventive repairs) and this week the seat of the pant went through, natural wear in this area. Just started wearing Big Bro Round Two – lets see how they fair?

These will be going up for sale, size 34 and I have the the off-cuts that will be included which could be sued for repairs, if you are interested please PM me and make me an offer.

  4. Is there anyway of telling Rigid and New Rinse apart?

I have a pair of LVC 1955 501. They were advertised/sold as by the retailer:

Levi's Vintage Men’s Classic Fit 1955 501 Rigid Raw Washed Selvedge Denim Jeans in Indigo

The label attached to the waist on teh inside says: 1955 501 Jeans 34 32 LOT 50155-0116

There is nothing on the labels that show the jeans have been washed? I guess it's popssible denim is rinsed though!

I'll post up a picture shortly.

Whatever they are, any ideas what the shrinkage will be if I machine wash them 40 degrees?

  5. Don't know if you read a few pages back, from experience the 60's and 50's cut are massively oversized in the waist. I think I bought a size 30 to fit 32 waist. Dunno about the 40's.

I am still trying to find some info regarding these jeans. Is there anything online that give me a guide? How much do they shrink in the waist, if I want a 34 what size should I buy, etc.?

  6. I need some size advice regarding the Edwin Overworks Vintage 1940s/1960s Jeans.

How much do they shrink, and do they come up large like their other jeans?

I usually wear a size 34 in Roy, etc.
