  1. I stripped the bottom arcs from my 1101 as well as the red stitching covering the GENUS lettering on the tab. Super easy and it left no marks. I put them through the wash afterwards.

  2. The denim will definitely stretch in the waist and a little bit in the thighs (I put about three months of wear into my 1001 and this took place). There is likely some more shrink in the inseam and I wonder if Warehouse's measurements are after one wash only. I'd recommend sizing on the skightly tighter side initially with banner denim.

  3. Measurements for 1101 in size 30 after two passes through the washing machine on 40C and 300rpm spin:

    Waist 75cm
    Front rise 28cm
    Back rise 37cm
    Thigh 29.5cm
    Knee 22.5cm
    Hem 19.5cm
    Inseam 82cm

Very happy with the initial fit and can't wait to start wearing them. Best fit I've had with WH yet - the waist is finally the right size!!

  4. Pretty sure it's ''just'' the standard 14.5oz 6x6 denim.

My 1101 arrived yesterday and are being put through a couple of washes before I start to wear them. Learned from experience with the 1001 (plus Setterman's sage advice) that the banner denim needs a couple of runs through the washing machine before the inseam shrink is done. Ordered direct from WH and nothing has been removed from the back pockets . They're an awesome pair of jeans. Photos soon!

  5. It's a more tapered cut - based on the mid-late sixties 501 pattern. Just a hair wider in the thigh, a little narrower at the hem... plus paper patch, no hidden rivets, etc.

  6. Really nice fit on those Ignaurus.

Just copped a pair of 1101. I've not been entirely happy with the fit of my 1001 (changing tastes I figure) and I had them hemmed before getting all the shrink out of the leg, like a friggin' rookie. The banner denim is too nice to pass up on though so I went for the 1101 hoping that the fit is more in tune with what I want. Pictures to follow.

  7. As I remember, Max moved the tab from inside the waist band and sewed it on the back pocket himself. The standard 710 does not have a red tab and hasn't had one for several years. They're lovely jeans btw.

  8. Awesome texture. I would kill for a slightly slimmer cut (1001 or 1101) in that 15th Anniversary denim. It's so nice and my 1001XX are just too big and wide for me.

  9. Someone here with both ooe yofukuten OA02 and sugarcane 1947? I have size 35 in ooe do you think size 33 in sugarcane will be ok?

I wear 31 in the 1947 and 33 in the OA02. The Canes are slightly undersized in the waist (from memory, tagged 31 measures 30.5'') but have a little give.

  10. Yeah, I'm inclined to try and make a little bit of an impression on the jeans before washing them more regularly as my lifestyle isn't hard at all on the jeans I wear (no bike riding, hiking or coal-mining) and I don't want a uniform, washed-out look. My Fullcount and my Canes were worn for 2-3 months before the first wash and turned out nice.

  11. The banner denim is so nice. I'm split at the moment between seeing how my 1001 fare without washing for at least two months while they break in or alternatively, washing regularly and treating them as ''regular'' blue jeans. Any strong opinions either way from you lot?

  12. Good review.

I've just picked up a pair of 710 myself, having come to love the 66 cut due to my Ooe OA02. As you point out, Resolute's interpretation is quite a bit slimmer than a true 66 model. When I went to the Hayashi-san fitting session in HK this weekend (photo on my IG), he was explaining to another customer how he has slimmed down the hip and seat to fit an East Asian body type as the original cut is not so flattering on non-westerners. He likes the cut worn fitted as well - I thought my size 31 were a little tight in the thigh but he insisted that this was the intended style and looked just like his own pair. I wish!

Overall, I really like the 710. The model is a simple, everyday jean that works with a lot of different styles and doesn't need lots of care to look good. The slimmer cut is taking some getting used to after Sugar Cane 1947 and Warehouse 1001, haha.
