Just received my first piece from Yoshi - I saw the their Saunter Coat in indigo sashiko fabric via Wild Frontier Good's CC Show feed, and knew I needed to have it.
They're receiving interest from a few stores, but seems like nothing firm yet.
In the mean time, purchases are available via messaging them on IG.

^ Indeed, the Taiwanese brands are doing a fine job with the shirt and the shoes.

My review of their EX-101 is up.

Indonesian brand, retailing around $150 to $210 depending on fabric weight.
Pretty nice details all things considered, I think.
Denim is from Okayama.

@SaisenCheers!
@oomslokop I don't think so, he reads forums from time to time but doesn't participate.

^ Good to hear!
Anybody else feel free to nominate some dates too. It'll be a Sunday arvo.
Otherwise, see you guys at Corlection next Friday.

Also, First Arrows boss is visiting Melbourne, and Corlection is holding a party for this visit on 16/03/18, 5PM to 7PM.
Hope to see some of you there!

I could probably do that, no worries.
Good to hear. We'll probably just need 3 or 4 of us to get the ball rolling - once we can set a date here on Sufu, we can invite folks via IG and reddit...
My blog post about Lieutenant & Co. is up.

Very cool shop, to say the least!

Nice. I popped by the other day and picked up a Belafonte T.
Going to head back this weekend to have a proper look.
Would be keen for a get together.

More leather stuff on my blog:

Have to say, Shonan and the Italian leathers are pretty cool.
Glad that people are shifting away from CXL slowly.

So cool to see these brands in Melbourne!
I must go in and take a look soon; not familiar with these brands at all.

^ Pretty cool!
Love the layout of the first jacket. Reminds me a little of the m65.

Sounds interesting using Bakers oak bark leather for boots. Do you have any pics or additional details on the Japanese maker? I’d imagine it would be pretty stiff so I’m curious what thickness it needs to be reduced down to in order to make it wearable?
Sorry buddy, no additional information from me.
I'm guessing the thickness would be around 3 oz. Maybe 5 oz if they oil the leather up beforehand.

Looks like you got mold?
But the boots look new?
What did you do to them? How to treat them depends on what the black spots are...

New card wallet in natural Buttero from Morgan at Full Grain Creations. First time I've seen multi-tone saddle-stitching stitch. Super cool...

True that why cxl?!?
It's a great work boot leather for sure, and truly Americana.
But given the material cost and the actual quality of the leather, better suited for sub $500 boots.
I certainly don't miss the days back in 2011 when absolutely everything was made with CXL. Now everything is shell which isn't so much better - where's the grain? Is it leather if it has no grain?
I recently saw a Japanese boot maker offering Baker's oak bark leather, which is pretty cool.

Yes, I think CXL, various latigo leathers, etc.
I think for strict repro boots those leathers are great.

Really odd that the leather portions are looking very well preserved.
I wonder who manufactures their synthetic soles.

i’ll keep my ears open.
LOL, the earth tone jacket just got stocked at Blue Owl a couple of days ago and is now sold out... I'm hoping to review the jeans later this year.
