My Death Row meal. Sorry for the crappy iphone pic. The lighting in my office sucks. Cripsy chicken tacos and a chicken quesadilla from Tacos El Asador in Toronto. This is my favorite meal of all time. It an El Salvadorian hole in the wall that makes fantastic tacos. The Chicken tacos they roll and deep fry.

Smoked meat poutine from Caplansky's with latke's. So very heavy but so tasty.

  2. On the topic of chromexcel.... I think my Alden Roys are ready for some TLC :)

Definitely need some TLC. A rag and a little tallow does wonders on mine. Consequently Riff, I've seen your motorbikes on here and word to the wise to be careful if you use these to kick start a bike. I had to go pick up a used one I bought for my dealership. Battery was dead so I had to kick it over. Damn thing took like 30 kicks and it tore a few of the welt stitches on my right boot. I get them back from Nicks in downtown Toronto tomorrow. Heres hoping they did a good job.

  3. You can probably get it directly from Billykirk. Go to their website and email them. They tend to not update the products through the regular estore but I am sure you can get one otherwise.

  4. Went by the Ruins. It is two doors to the East from the Fred Perry store on Queen and just east of Ossington. Seems like a nice little shop. I don't think it has much staying power. They have very little stock and I wasn't all that impressed with what they had. It kind of remind me of the old Sydney's store only a quarter the size.

I am excited to see what is opening between the Fred Perry and Ruins stores. I don't know if I am allowed to say what it is though. I work for the same company that reps Fred Perry so I don;t want to announce it just yet. Lets just say the initials of the brand are OS.

  5. Just noticed the heavy duty patch on the IH 301s-07BK was coming of my jeans... I have worn them three times. Makes me a little wary. Hopefully my rudimentary stitching skills will keep it on for now. Would hate to loose it.

  6. Does have any experience with the Alden restoration services? My Roy boots are going to need some work this winter. I figured it would be best time because I usually use my Red Wings for the winter because it has a better sole for the Canadian climate.

I am going to need a new sole and the welt stitch has loosened on the inside of my right foot (kick starting a bike) and I can't decide if I should just go to my local cobbler or send them in.

Does Alden just sell the soles and then I can have them done here in Toronto?

  7. Guys...my camera got stolen while I was working out of town. Half my tour is wiped out. I'm really sorry. There is still time to archive some action, but I fear my biggest contribution may end up simply being my share of wear.

The irony is that I use Duluth Pack for my luggage......and it got nabbed while in Duluth.

No worries. These tour jeans have a lot of life in them yet.
