  1. Oakley 2.0 computer bag. This has maybe left the house 6 times. Here is the link to the details on Oakleys site. The only real signs of wear is on a few of the black rivets where it looks like I scraped a doorway or something while walking in the black on the rivets is starting to wear. Besides that there are no holes, rips or tears. I would say 8 out of 10 in condition.

    Looking for 50 shipped.

Lastly is a Nice vintage coach unisex laptop bag/briefcase. I have talked to a few leatherheads through PMs on USN so I know there are some out there that like good aged leather. This thing is in great condition. No rips or tears. The inside nylon is damn near perfect. no rips, tears or stains. The outside is full grain leather with some milage on it and it only gets better from here. the bag has all SOLID brass hardware. MADE IN THE USA!

looking for 100 90 shipped on this to the CONUS.

  2. I have a Maratac AA right now and I have to say that I love it. The Maratac AAA would be a great choice for a first high lumen light especially since the batteries are easier to come by than 123's.

I have 2 maratac AAAs and love them. That on my keys and a higher output in my backpack. Good choice.

  3. You're worried about people taking your pen when you're carrying an XM18? You're doing it wrong bro.
If someone tries to take anything from me the last thing im pulling out is the XM. wouldnt want to get my blade bloodied up. Im reaching for my FN FiveSeven with the hollow points...
So the head can break off like funkdoobi's?

LOL what are you talking about. I never said anything about a flashlight. I said FiveSeven, not 4sevens. HUGE difference between the 2...

  5. i like my cc embassy pen, i just wish you could screw or attach the cap to the back of the pen when in use.....

I didnt buy one for the longest time because of that. Then I watched the countycomm video and the guy explained why he did that and he is right. "when someone asks to use your pen and you hand them the pen but YOU keep the cap, They are less likely to walk off with your pen."

Got to admit he is right... and in my line of work im always borrowing pens.

  6. I got the County Comm Embassy in SS V2 yesterday and after using it all day I figured I would throw up some pictures.

I want to start off by saying im a huge space pen fan. I think they write well enough for me quality wise, the normal bullet pens are light and small and you can find the refills everywhere.I have wanted to get an embassy pen for a while and when the Rev2's came out last week I jumped on it.

Initial thoughts: Damn is it heavy. I mean I knew it wouldn't be light but this is one hunk of stainless. To say the least, I love it.

Writing wise, its a typical space pen. Smooth writing and it feels even nicer with some weight behind it. All in all it writes like you would expect from a SP.

Construction wise, CountyComm moved away from the O ring design of making it water proof. supposedly it is still waterproof but the only O ring in it is behind the ink cartridge. It has a nice thick stainless pocket clip with 2 stainless screws holding it down. It felt nice and secure on my pants pocket. The knurling on this is really nice as well. Whoever machined these did a fantastic job. Or so I thought. This brings me to the only thing that I dont like about the pen which I have tried to illustrate with good old MS Paint.

The cap threads and the threads on the body do not match up well. once the cap is all the way in, there are only approx 1 1/4 turns till it is tight. as you can see from the threads on the body of the pen, there should be WAY more than a little over one turn of the cap.

Is this a deal breaker? not really. the cap still stays on nice and tight and the rest of the pen still functions well. I wish the cap was held on by a little more thread but this IS stainless. Im not worried about jacking up the threads. Now maybe if this was the Al model I might consider sending it back to CC with a cap that is only held on with one twist of threads.

Here are some pictures with weight comparisons and also the illustration of the threads.

    DSC_0151.jpg

Weight of a TAD fisher space pen. 19.4 grams

    DSC_0148.jpg

Weight of my Hinderer XM-18 3.5 flipper. 181.4 grams

    DSC_0149.jpg

And now the CC Embasy. I could not get Just the pen to register so I had to do both the XM and the Embassy and then subtract the XM. 136.1 grams on just the embassy. Just a little under my XM...

    Exploded view.

And an illistration of the thread problems. In the bubble it says: "threads inside cap are about here."

  7. I understand that. I carry around an Embassy or at bare min a space pen. But im talking $150 leather pouches/rolls with all kinds of fancy pens, pencils, sharpeners and erasers and fancy leather notebooks. Again, not bashing just curious if we have THAT many engineers/architects on here of if its one of those things were one kid is going to engineer school and posts his fancy stuff and then the next thing you know 10 people in the thread are walking around with $300 in writing utensils.

My buddy actually has one year left of engineer school and still only carries a cheap ass pencil and a bic pen. To each there own I guess...

BTW, Where the hell are the pictures of all the new gear 35?

  8. I have an honest question. And im not trying to be a smart ass or a dick.

Why do so many people carry fancy looking notebooks/moleskins/pencil rolls etc?

Do people actually use these for work/school or is just the "cool thing" to carry around?

Just something I have been curious about for a while...

  9. Got my ThruNite neutron 2c (2 123 batteries) Holy shit is it bright. Can I get an amen for 360 lumens. It doesn't throw super tight, more of an area light, but I still like it. Construction is great, sidewalls are thick yet it doesnt feel heavy. Only gripe is the switch, it has a nice click, but there's excess rubber that sort of floats off the switch. I'll try to get a video tomorrow.

    Pics or it never happened.

And pics of the hinderer too... :D

  10. Since this is EDC and general survival preparedness, I just want to plug this book:

    eed92940-ff00-4c8c-aaa5-21af8d912419.jpg

Have only skimmed/read a few chapters, but pretty good book so far. Has some great chapters on how to carry people/spinal injuries/maulings/piercings. Useful for the kind of people who like having multitools and knives in their pockets.

Save your money and take the one semester long EMT-B class...

  11. So heres the deal. I bought this one of the guy who was selling it on here and the IH forum about a month ago. I got it for my buddy who really doesn't use the internet. This was my buddies first big wallet. To make a long story short, after a few weeks he really doesn't like it. He is used to using a small thin leather wallet so this was like wallet shock for him. Since he is internet illiterate he gave it back to me to try and sell it for him. He paid 520 shipped for it about a month ago. He is looking to get 450 shipped via PP gifted. Or 450 plus 4% regular PP.

I am currently looking for my memory card that has apparently grown legs. Im hoping to have pictures up within a day or two. Thanks for looking.

  12. XM18 w/o flipper will be super easy to open. I like my flipper, but it's definitely not needed. CTS-XHP is NICE and blade finish is beautiful. I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

I'm set on knives, now I need to step up my lumens and gunz game.

    You got your shit fast!

You said you got orange too, right? I love the orange G10.

  13. Im too retarted for all that. I would chop of at least 3 of tips of fingers doing that shit.

Ill keep it a few weeks and handle it. Maybe I will change my mind. I have a tendency to do that. IE the JB TCR2 that is really growing on me.

Im good on knives for at least a month. no I have to just decide between a mossberg 930 SPX or a Remington 870 TAC but thats for a different thread.

    Thanks for the vid V.

  14. Just got home from school after 11 hours to find 2 packages. My XM and my Moonglow M2.

XM is simply amazing. Moonglow sucks penis. Smooth scales are ridiculously slick. I cant even imagine using it with wet/sweaty hands and the locking mechanism blows. 3 fingers to close a knife?

The XM makes up for it though. Pretty dope knife I must say...
